I much rather have a player like Beasley who can put the ball in the basket. Tyler Ennis's main skill is putting the ball in the hands of the other team. I don't care what anybody says...Bad trade! ba-ba-Bad!
Another case of Morey pulling off a good move (Beasley for nothing on a 2yr cheap contract)... just to shoot himself in the foot...
He killed our momentum with his terrible play late in the 3rd and till the 8 minute mark of the 4th.Just putrid!. He brings nothing.
Prigioni would've done a better job and is a much bigger threat from 3 point land so yeah, Morey ****ed up big time.
Smh. I don't understand why people hated in Pablo. He can handle the ball well despite his age and run half court sets. He rarely turns the ball over. We got this useless pg who is definitely not nba ready nor do I even think he is D league ready! stupid stupid stupid!
Yet another Maury fail move. He cut Prigioni only because it wouldn't reflect so badly on him. If he had cut PEnnis, it would be giving away Beasley for free. Tyler Anus is scared out there. He is petrified of the big stage. He doesn't have the cojones yet. Compare that to the veteran leadership and steady handed Prigioni. You only make such a move if you put personal agenda above the team.
You nailed it! Maury compounded the mistake of trading away Beasley by waiving Prigioni also. Two rotation players gone!
I've always ignored the financial and business aspects of pro basketball. So please forgive my ignorance in asking: can we just cut Ennis and resign Prigioni? Or sign Beno Udrih, or some other PG? I wish Les had the wallet to just cut Brewer. If we're stuck with Ennis and Brewer on the roster, we need to start an online petition to MDA to please not play either of them except in garbage time. Let's nip this disaster in the bud, please.
In the bigger context of things, it doesn't really move the needle that much. With Pablo, we're still mediocre. With Ennis, we're even more mediocre. We clearly aren't competing for a championship with the squad so what's the point of keeping Pablo around?
yes. We can. The decision was based on $ not on ability. Ennis is what he is, what he was some months before when he was about to have his option not picked up and was shopped around for months with no takers. He will never have the ability of Prigs to run the O because he doesn't have the savvy, confidence and more importantly the court vision.
Y'all are overreacting... He did some good things and his turnovers, while terrible, were mostly caused by him hesitating and letting the d know where he was going/passing. Some experience and decisiveness takes care of that. That's how KJ was when he got here.. He's on his third team in two years.. That certainly doesn't help. Yes, he's limited, but he's 22. He has room to improve in the next year or two, which justifies the move. Pablo would've rode the bench and retired this summer... Ennis can clean up the TOs and possibly increase his value/play going forward.
He actually did make 3-4 really nice plays, and then 3-4 awful ones. I am willing to give the 22 year old some time. I really like his defense and his handle looked secure. He needs to stop telegraphing those passes though Jesus.
