With everyone speculating on a Lawson suspension over the offseason, we are now 1 week from game action and still no word. Any word on this or what may happen?
Cool yeah that's what i figured that's why I didn't understand why everyone was just assuming he's going to be suspended for 5+ games or whatever.
The standard seems to be 2 games for a DUI. So I'm thinking either 4 games or maybe they add an extra game to make it 5 since it would be his second offense. But I'm assuming that will only happen if he's convicted.
Yeah I'm confused about the LA occurance. I know he had one in Denver and completed his rehab and etc but I'm a little confused of the LA issue. Did he get out of it?, did the Denver court sort of combine thr punishments into one?.
Court systems are not exactly fast. Any time I get a speeding citation I hand over to a lawyer. He sets a court date and there are times that court date is more than 12 months out. Every court is different. Hell the final ruling on Ty could come after the 15/16 campaign.
You know. This does bring up an interesting question. Suppose the final verdict in LA or wherever come at the end of the season or a game or so before. Lets say the league wants to suspend for 5 games. Isn't a players pay based on 82 games. If he has made it to game 80-82 would they simply impose the suspension to begin the 16/17 season since suspending him in the playoffs would not really cost him salary?
