the timing of this is puzzling. didn't see anything reported about any hearing in california. aren't these suspensions typically handed out only after some sort of court judgement? i wouldn't be surprised if morey got the league to issue this suspension in advance of the jan 15th trading day
Yeah, I can't find anything, either. Was thinking it was odd, as well -- innocent until proven guilty and all. I suppose Lawson and his agents would have to tell the Union they are in agreement for punishment before plea/conviction. It's also weird that we think of this question, but no one in the media thinks to ask it, especially since it would be grounds for a juicy trade rumor.
I am at the point where I'd trade this guy to a conference rival to get the distractions out. For Goodness sakes trade Ty Lawson and Tjones for Josh Smith and Lance Stephenson. It might make the clippers stronger but at this point it might make us stronger too.
I know you're probably just throwing that out there to make another point, but Chris Paul's backup is the coach's son. I would say trading for a PG is the last thing LAC is looking to do. And with Reddick and Jamal, doubtful they have time or inclination to try a Lawson as off-guard experiment.
