We need guys who can score the ball, in terms of playmaking Harden has that covered already so except for the times he is sitting down we need a guy who can knock down shots rather than a guy who sets things up (see JLin vs Bev). I haven't finished watching the game yet but judging on his 2 attempts in 12 mins Lawson isn't feeling it yet, in that case with Harden on a hot streak you need 3 pt shooters like Bev, Terry and Thronton who will give Harden the spacing he needs to work his magic. I think Lawson's PT depends on his shooting and Harden's performance, if Harden is feeling it and Lawson can't hit his shots he should get less PT, on the other hand if Harden is bricking everything you sit him down and give Lawson extended mins. I don't think the two of them can play extended mins together because both are bad on D and Lawson hasn't been hitting his 3s, they would just get in each other's way.
I was also surprised lawson doesn't get more minutes. When he's on the floor or really like he makes the offense flow better. I'm not gonna question JB atm since we're getting wins but I'd think it would be wise for lawson to get more minutes and play in 4th quater crunch time
I thought Ty looked pretty good tonight. Would like to see him looking to score a bit more, but he made some really nice plays. That pass in the 4th for the Capela dunk was a thing of beauty and exactly the kind of thing I was looking forward to when we got him.
We don't move the ball around. Hence, we're not utilizing Ty's potential as a PG. There's no way it should be this bad.
Just like how JVG was the wrong coach for Stromile and Adelman for T-Will. The Rockets keep on making the same mistake of employing the wrong coaches with the star talent they have in hand.
People can blame coaching but coaching, fit but all thatgoes out the window in revenge games. Players just ball in these games if they still have the ability to do so. Lawson's turning out to be another another statistic where a way undersized PG sees rapid decline as he nears or hits 3-0.
