I was for Beverly starting and Lawson running the 2nd unit. I'm still for that. Part of firing the coach is giving everyone a clean slate. Let's do that with Lawson. Tell him he's running the team when Harden's out, give him a pretty consistent group to work with, and see what he can put together.
Ty needs to change his midset. He was already running the team with Harden out in every game so far. He's just inexplicably playing scared. If he doesn't have either of the following things: 1) 8 assists OR 2) 12 field goals attempted, He isn't doing what we brought him here to do.
Since Lawson waived the guarantee for next season, the Rockets can just release at the end of this one right? So both parties can just move on

Ty Lawson may not have a long season ... he just pled guilty to charges stemming from his January drunk driving arrest. The Rockets point guard was arrested in January after he was pulled over by police in Denver. The cops smelled alcohol and said he had slurred speech ... Ty ultimately failed his field sobriety test. Ty pled guilty to driving while ability impaired, as well as failure to drive in a single lane. He faces up to 180 days in jail. The Denver incident is not his only arrest this year. He was pulled over and arrested this summer in LA and went to rehab afterwards. He's due in court next week for that charge.
