I had the dubious honor of photographing Creed on both nights of their two night stand in Houston. I shot Monday night for Soundspike and on Tuesday for the Houston Press. Here's a link to some of my photos from Creed's performance Monday night and here's a link to a write up and more photos of Creed from Tuesday night. Creed fans should enjoy this, all others will just comment on how much they suck. LOL!
Built to Spill plays a show in Houston and it gets no attention, then they immediately play 2 back-to-back soldout shows in Austin the same week. Creed comes to Houston and gets two shows back-to-back. In Austin, nobody cares. As Gruden would say -- what a world... what a world.
if you are a hipster from Houston you move to Austin...seems simple enough. unless you have a kid, then you move to Houston to get a big boy job. I bet if you polled Clutchfans about 90% of the people would have NO idea who Built to Spill was...which is fine by me. the more dousche bags who don't share my taste in music the better
Not the newer stuff. But arcade fire funeral, have you ever listened to that? One of the best albums of last 10 years newer stuff blaahhhh gaaagggg.
First, it's Douche. Second, Built to Spill is not a "hipster" band. They've been around forever, just with different line ups. Awesome band, can't believe I missed their concert.
What we really need is a thread where ALL the people on the forum who bought Creed CDs back in the day can now beg forgiveness from the rest of us.
Fast forward 20 years and we will be hearing about Creed, Nickelback, and Fuel playing the reunion tour rodeo circuit. REO Speedwagon, Styx, and Ted Nugent will have to release their stranglehold on that cash cow someday.
This guy went to see Creed and Nickelback on the same night last week in NYC. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id...eader-creed-nickelback-world-most-hated-bands
I know Sean Hurley, the bass player. He was a student at Berklee when he hooked up with them. He's toured and recorded with a bunch of artists from John Mayer to Miley Cyrus to Alicia Keys to Pitbull. Fantastic player.
yes! Love that CD! I really like a lot of creed songs, but some of the ones that got overplayed on the radio drive me nuts. Cannot stand to listen to "Higher", "My Sacrifice", "With Arms Wide Open", or "One Last Breath". Saw them in concert in August 2009 at Cynthia Woods when they had just gotten back together. Great pics rockHEAD! Scott Stapp looks much better with his head shaved. Wish he hadn't grown it back out.
