Just two minor moves and a little good karma ,just like the recent power rankings ,I don't see this rocket team as a lottery team.Just by signing Andre Blanche and Scott Machado this team would be very competitive and with team first play from the players, this team could make some noise in the playoffs. The Blanche move has high risk and also has high reward. This is the perfect landing spot for Blanche who has been working with NBA life coach John Lucas this summer .With Lucas right here ,its a win win for Blanche and the Rockets wind up with a player who's proven he can ball when his head's on strait.

I expect Blatche to sign on in Boston. They can afford to take the risk. If he is serious about continuing his career, he'll accept mentorship from Garnett. Garnett is the perfect hard-nosed dude to knock him around and get him in line. And if he doesn't respond to that, then he's history for this league. I don't think any other team has the stiff personality of a Garnett as a player to be able to reach Blatche.

not a horrible idea, given the presnt landscape of available players... but i think id rather let the kids develop for a year and then hit the FA market hard next offseason with plenty of capspace...

Rather trade Martin, Patterson, Dallas 1st and New York 2nd to Cleveland for Varejao and Daniel Gibson

    Lin / Gibson / Douglas

    Lamb / Delfino

    Parsons / White

    Motievation / Jones

    Asik / Varejao

in the 25 games Varejao played he averaged 10 pts and 11 rpg and Gibson is a three specialist for the penetrating Lin

The roster is nowhere near being finalized yet. As for Machado, is there really any worry he might be picked up elsewhere?

Toney Douglas is not suited to play point, as his time in NY showed; he's a SG. At that position, there are already three players: Douglas, Kmart, and Lamb.
