I wouldn't be surprised if most of steals Simmons forced on Harden were actually him tapping Hardens elbow...
yea it was a horrible flop and of course NBA doesn't want to admit that it was a flop but pretty much as bad as that one on Beal where he flopped on a screen in the back court.
The thing that makes this no call so huge is the Rockets are in the bonus, so if they call the foul Harden shoots free throws and more than likely the Rockets go up by three. It changes the situation where at best the Spurs can tie on the next possession, to them taking the lead. If they make the correct call it completely changes the game.
In 5 games, Kawhi has been called for a "total" of FIVE fouls. FIVE in 5 games. He had 4 of the 5 in game 4. Kawhi has been given carte blanche to travel all over the place in his pivots and able to charge into people with impunity. Head shaking.
Yep. Make no mistake about it, these calls were HUGE and had a HUGE impact on the game. but the NBA won't do **** about it, t hat's the problem. Just "Refs make mistakes, get over it." and people will run to defend the refs to appear like they are fair or something.
And here is video of the play: http://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041500143&eventNum=1375 However, the reason we were down was because of this play right before. http://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041500143&eventNum=1374 We had the ball up by 1 with 14 seconds left. All we have to do is inbound to a good FT shooter. L2M says Beasley was fouled (held by Iguodala) on inbounds. That is a technical foul and the ball, since it occurs before the inbounds pass. Also, led directly to the bad-pass turnover, fastbreak for easy 2.
Are you making a motion to declare a WRIT of EVEN-STEVEN? Because that Motion is GRANTED, and I direct the Clerk to issue it forthwith
Watch their bigs camping out in the lane; I've noticed several times during this series where they do this and nothing gets called.
Both Lou and Ryan have been on again/off again where shooting is concerned. I need them to continue to attack though, if they are open, let it fly. You can't make what you don't shoot and I'll take my chances with those two shooting open jumpers over the prospects of one guy (James) being able to play 48 minutes without any dropoff in performance. As long as we don't get into early foul trouble (or Mike doesn't overreact to a foul call by sitting James too long) I think we cruise through. It will be talked about by media like we got a gift by having an injured opponent, but in all reality Tony Parker wasn't the driving force for the Spurs all season, and his own fan base wants him to be replaced. It's Kawhi that matters. The weak spot isn't even the PG position, but having David Lee trying to guard James off a switch, and Aldridge and Gasol trying to play wing shooters instead of being big when we don't have a big on the floor. That's on Pop. We need to capitalize on it. Plus Nene is bigger for us in the paint than Aldrige and Lee have been for the Spurs (most of the time).
