Is Tillman just trying to make sure morey doesn't win? Ben Simmons can't shot, but he is a good player. At least better than the trash we got.

This is like Pop not dealing KL to the Lakers.

And how do you plan to build around “a good player who can’t shoot”? Is your dream to be the 8-9 seed every season?

It’s just cost. Costed seems odd for a blue check professional.

As a (former?) Morey stan and a current sad Rockets fan. If Rockets have to suck, Im glad Morey didn't get the players he wanted, lol.

Philly would’ve been finals bound for sure if they had acquired Harden, especially if it was just for Ben Simmons, Maxey, and picks

How do you build around a 6'11 elite defensive force, that can't shoot, and has been top 10 in assists every year in the league?

You put scorers and shooters around him.....

Yeah- it’s really hard to believe how many people don’t get that.
Scottie Pippen wasn’t a great shooter. He seemed to be ok. Simmons is a better playmaker than him. He’s longer than him. He’s not quite as good on D but he’s damn good. building around Simmons is really not hard. At all. He might not be someone who can be the best guy on a title team but he damn sure can be the best #2 in the league.

Philly has been good even with embiid down. I think wood, Simmons, and wall could have been a playoff team.

and without any high picks, which simmons basically prevents you from getting by being good but not great, where do you get the #1 player for your team? The ONLY thing that matter is getting a superstar

That would basically be a disaster for us because we'd be a first round exit and have no draft pick.

How much better would we be if we had ben? Yes we would not suck but not like we would be better. This way we have a chance to get a top 4 pick and pick a player just as impactful via free agency.
Btw who is to say ben wouldn't have asked to be traded this year or next if he got traded to us

Morey always has a excuse for why he couldn't get a deal done. Did the rest of the league also not trade with him bc of tilman? Bottom line Morey sucks at closing deals when there are other suitors and it seems like his protégé stone sucks too

The game within the game. Tillman is going for the championship here instead
