You can be cocky and a good showman at the same time, but not taking it too far. To be able to play in the NBA, there needs to be some PROFESSIONALISM. We have had a lot of cocky showman type players; however, they still acted professionally (for the most part). No dunk is worth taking your shirt off for. You can scream and let some emotion, but that's where it ends. Anything more leads to Technicials, ejections, and etc. Thus why our man T-Will is yet to crack the rotation. If he gets his attitude fixed, sky's the limit for this "character"
He was at home... And everyone loved it. When people, for the most part, have overall disdain for you...you can't win for ****.
Here are the highlights of almost everyone at the event. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RTCPtgdtLdw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well, I'm officially out of it. I had no idea 'punk' meant either one of those terribly irrelevant things. Maybe you should watch where you're going.
Let's not overreact. It was an And-1 type of game and he made a good dunk. I agree it was immature-ish to take off his jersey like that, but it's not like he did it in an NBA game. Just admire the dunk for what it was.
All these Youtube clips of streetball games are evidence that Terrence Williams is.... a great streetball player. All the games that Terrence Williams has played in the NBA, his well documented behavior in the locker room and practice, his win%, minutes per game, and relationships with coaches around the league are evidence that Terrence Williams is.... a BAD NBA player with an attitude. -If you are interested in a AndOne mixtape then, Twill is your man. If you want a solid NBA pro, Terrence Williams is not your guy. Given his age (in NBA years he's pretty much finished if he doesnt change his attitude and relationships with authorities which isnt just something that bad NBA players with athletic talent get away with past their rookie contracts.) things dont look good for Terrence's future with the Rockets and Im sure they would trade him if they could get anything for him. Ive watched NBA basketball for over a quarter-century. Terrence Williams or "TWILL" is nothing new, and many talented street-ballers have gone the same route, acted the same way, and been out of the league in 4 years. Anyone thinking Terrence is going to turn around the Rockets franchise and become the next great superstar is going to be very dissapointed. Given the Lockout possibly cancelling the entire season, I have a hard time thinking the Rockets will pick up his option after next Spring.
What are you guys gonna do if he comments about it on twitter. What would your life be life without T-Will?
You don't have to be young to enjoy the game of basketball. And besides. Players have been dunking hardcore since the Dr. J era.
Your statement makes no sense, dunking is not the game of basketball it is a very small part of it. And I agree with R2K, dunks are a dime a dozen, who cares? Wins...now that is something that matters. DD
If you can't admire dunks, finger rolls, hook shots, pull up jumpers, from the world's greatest athletes, I feel sorry for you. "15 year olds" have the right idea in this case, what a pity. Beautiful dunk, beautiful display of athleticism. Julius, Daryl and Black Jesus Ice, King and Tiny... Keep the NBA funky...
I think the "stop-hating" crowd is misinterpreting DD, R2K and the rest of the criticism of T-Will. I personally haven't seen enough of T-Will as a NBA player to emphatically declare that he is not a good player. However, from everything that has been reported of him, the perception I get is that he is an immature player and does not have an understanding of team basketball. As a fan, especially an out-of-state fan, I can only garner my thoughts about a player and his basketball skills and understanding from what others report and, unfortunately for T-Will, he has do nothing to counter that perception. So when I saw this video, I had the same thought as DD and R2K. Is T-Will a nice athlete? Yes. But nice athletes don't equate with good team basketball; the type of team basketball that wins championships. The dunk is nice and I understand its a charity game, but him taking of his shirt goes to the perception that he is immature. But the bottom line is always: will this guy help the Rockets win a championship? And again, based on the problems he had in NJ and based on the lack of playing time under RA, the answer seems to point to no. I hope I am wrong because we definitely need some more talent on this team, especially freak athletes. But there has to be a reason the guy got traded from NJ and thus far has failed to take advantage of his second chance in Houston.
