Watched this show tonight and it was suprisingly good. Good acting, great production values (think Heroes). Cool effects and a good fight scene with the 'first' bionic woman who went bad. And the bad guy(girl) is Starbuck from the new Battlestar Galactica, and the Chief from BSG makes an appearance as well. My only worry is that they will make it -too- 'strong woman'. It's hard to make a woman a lead character and not have her cross into Jodie Foster country (killing the -bad men- who are after women). Oh, and they mentioned how much her hardware cost, and it wasn't 6 mil (it was 50m). I'll make it a point to watch it again to see where it goes.
I watched. it wasn't bad. i'll probably watch again when I'm home on Wednesdays (I usually have indoor soccer games Weds). Not quite good enough to spend valuable DVR space on, though. I am enjoying "Life" right now. It stars Damien Lewis (Sgt. Winters in Band of Brothers)
Michelle Ryan is TEH HAWT! Yama hama. But, I felt like I was run through an 8 hour training session in 30 minutes. Too much information in one episode with not enough time to digest everything and definitely not enough time to develop storylines. That's what I like about Heroes. They don't mind making you wait to learn everything, which makes the stories that much more interesting. But, it will stay in the DVR. I like it enough.
Was he in DreamCatcher? Bionic Woman . .. Went from Kindrgarten teacher to sleazy bartender I will have to check it out further Rocket River I guess Starbuck won't be back on BSG
has anyone noticed half of the main cast are from Battlestar Galactica? the bad bionic woman: Starbuck Prison guard: Chief Tyrol the boyfriend's evil dad: one of the Cylons i am sure there are more hiding somewhere to be discovered
I watched this and wanted it to become one of my "regulars" for Wednesdays. Didn't like it at all. I thought it was boring and had terrible acting. But then again I was spoiled by Alias for 4 seasons.
Maybe it's just me but if I was in a horrible accident, lost my limbs, and then had them replaced with super strong ones, I would be grateful and thrilled.
Not a bad show. I'll keep it as part of my DVR lineup for now. Also Chuck and Big Bang Theory were also good.
I don't know if the shows will overlap or if her role in Bionic Woman is permanent and recurring. My guess is Starbuck will definitely return to BSG.
Shan!!!! I didn't know you were an Alias fan!! OMG we are so compatible! Bionic was okay. Most of the good stuff was in the extended preview that came with my Heroes Season 1 dvds. So I am refraining from judgment until the second episode. Chuck is a keeper. It's like Jake 2.0 meets Scarecrow and Mrs. King. The only reason I wanted to watch Bionic was because of Katee Sackoff. So I was pleasantly surprised to see my favorite chief Aaron Douglas!
Same here. The pilot was just meh. Everything felt rushed, some of the dialogue was just awful. I'll give it a few more episodes but not off to a good start. By the way, Katee Sackoff will be back in Season 4 of BSG and in the upcoming BSG Direct to video movie Razor
Actually I was thinking the same thing, Miguel Ferrer is like a kiss of death on new shows, he's been in tons of pilots or new shows and lot of them have failed, can't remember which ones at the moment but I know there's been a few
Yeah that one was around for a while but most of time, foggy memory, I've seen him on TV his show come and go very quickly
I didn't watch Bionic. I thought "Life" was probably the best new show that I had seen so far this year. It had great writing and presentation and I will continue to watch it. I wanted to like "Chuck", but thought it felt forced and not very well written. Watching K-Ville last week was the worst waste of time I had spent in a very long time. I've been watching "The War" on PBSHD this week, so I may see more shows after it ends next Tuesday.
