my friends have been raving crazy about this show and they were right. F******** amazing. Watch this people!
Spoiler Totally, that whole episodes was about homecomings and Francis kind of gave up his real life and love to pursue politics. Very interesting episode, do love how he gets right back into the game the moment they start to leave. Finished the series the last week and its one of the best series I've seen, throughly enjoyed it throughout. Who else wants some ribs?
Great series. Left me very intrigued where it goes from here. I of course LOVE Kevin Spacey in his role, and I am seriously pumped to see more scenes between him and Gerald McRaney who was equally great in his few episodes. Such a smart and twisted show. Recommended.
I would have though he got some great pilot deals from HBO/Showtime or the networks; but he was flaky enough to try and run a theater in London for a while, so even without other TV stuff I could totally see him walking away from multi-episodes playing the same character. Also, he and Wright are veteran actors with enough name recognition to clear a million or two per gig on top of whatever they've earned over the years, so they probably don't need a TV type workload to feel fulfilled or well compensated. All the other web series will now collapse in short order.
Why don't they just have multiple seasons, but clock in around 4-6 episodes per season, a la Luther or Sherlock? This way, House of Cards would still be a program, while freeing up the actors to pursue other mediums.
I wouldn't count on that. Per wiki - "Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos stated that they are currently in negotiations for a third season and beyond"
This is good news. If not renewed, I hope it is decided early enough for the writers to properly close out the last couple of episodes. I think Netflix really needs this show a couple more years and they might pay Spacey enough to keep it going.
