Yeah, for me House of Cards ended when Spacey was fired. I didn't even bother to check the new season, and I'm not going to. He might be terrible to work with, but Spacey WAS the show.
Sadly i agree. I did not know much about Spacey personally .. . so I guess I just enjoyed the show for what it is Without him . . .. it just seems flat I really did not like the deemphasizing of his character last season Rocket River
I think she's honestly a great actress. But the writers went too hard at the feminism route this season lol.
Almost all shows have source material...good ones at least. Shows fall off after a couple seasons as they run out of original source material. The final season was like watching Oceans 11/12/13 and then watching Oceans 8.
Mercifully finished it last night. Not exaggerating when I say this...it was the worst final season to a show I have ever seen. Worse than Dexter. Worse than How I Met Your Mother. Worse than anything. The final scene was embarrassing. I know they had the Kevin Spacey thing to deal with. That sucks. But what they decided to go with was uninteresting, not compelling, confusing, and boring. I have to believe they could have done better. Damn shame. It was a fun show for a little while.
I really don't blame them. Kevin Spacey was the whole show. And not seeing Frank Underwood die on screen was unsatisfying. I wish they would release what the original script would have been for the last season.
Yeah, no doubt, but it seems like there was minimal effort to even try to come up with a decent story line this season. Hell...the show didn't even end. The last season provided zero closure to anything.
I watched the first 4 seasons. Then I just watched two recap videos for season 5 and 6. I am glad I didn't waste my time.
