Lookie there, Korea accepts refugees? Imagine that. A fake tough guy "regime" that fears the truth? Sounds familiar.
Dunno. Just hit the "viewed ignored content" button and saw a plethora from both of those guys interwoven in this thread. LOL. The Russian was just posting random positive tweets about the speech. (Can you imagine, on a platform the size of twitter: you can find positive tweets about a topic!)
Kennedy's response was too melodramatic and he was emoting through the whole thing instead of just making his points naturally. I think all he had to do was make his points and let the audience decide that they were profound. Instead, he felt he like had to make sure that every word dripped with profundity and an excess of emotion. That's too bad because he did offer a valid contrast. It was just lost with his saccharine delivery.
Eh, I'll skip it then. Thanks for posting that. Democrats are totally confused as to how to counter the Trump era. They see someone talking on a 4th grade level, appealing to the absolute lowest parts of the human brain, and they wonder how to counter it. The GOP primary field had the same problem accessing lizard brain. (e.g. see Rubio talking about schlongs. Failing.)
Well he was speaking to the fringe left which is his base and they largely substitute logic for emotion so I'd imagine they ate his speech up. They see him seemingly near tears and assume that means whatever he's saying is amazing. I'm not sure that speech will play towards the nation as a whole, but like I said, that's not really who the speech was directed towards.
My dad got here in 1969 and he brought over all his brothers and sisters over the years. All of them became successful. All of their children are successful. All of us have contributed greatly to this country in many many ways. We are not your enemy. We may be brown, but we do a lot more to make this country great than the people complaining about immigrants.
John F. Kennedy, 1961: "My Fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country." Joseph Kennedy III, 2018: My fellow Americans, ask what your country can do for you.
Not a single mention of the special investigation by Trump. That was probably smart. Overall I thought it was fine. Trump got to speak about himself for an hour.
Honestly, I felt Trump gave a pretty damn good speech. I know the left will hate it and pound away, but I think he hit just the right tone tonight...for once.
Joseph Kennedy I, Upon hearing about what the Nazi government was doing to Jews "They brought in on themselves,” and then “As a race they stink. Look what they did to Hollywood.” Joseph Kennedy III, 2018: *Drooling intensifies*
