Ok, if Obamacare shouldn't be "bailed out", then Trump should fulfill his election promise: to deliver a health package that would be the best, cover everybody and with lower premiums, etc. Where is it? I haven't seen it. Trump promised in the most glowing terms, using the most beautiful words, as only he can. The Republicans have had more than 7 years to come up with something, but they have come up with nothing except what is really a giant tax cut for the wealthy disguised as a healthcare bill that would take away coverage from tens of millions.
What is so dumb about it? What evidence do we have that Trump is not actively working with an agenda that is to promote failure of ACA? I think its valuable to know whether Trump fans and the overall US approve of the president sabotaging peoples lives for political purposes. This is asking the poling audience if they prefer this method or if they prefer the opposite. Maybe they could rephrase the response to say would you rather him take this course he's taking, take a REPLACE approach with a better alternative, or just support ACA reform? I dunno I didn't write the damn question, but I think the information of learning how many Americans approve of Donald's methods is good to know. Obviously Trump ran on Repeal and Replace but the assumption was that the ACA replacement would be better, would cover more people, and would bring down costs. The Trump/GOP replacement options have not passed their own requirements that they ran on so most poling I've seen has heavily favored ACA over the GOP replacement. or are you questioning the validity of the pole itself? Over 1,200 participants in all 50 states in less than a week... I mean its not sampling every single voter in the US, but its based on a similar methodology that had Clinton beating Trump by 2 points, when she won the popular vote by 3 points. We can dissect every pole if you want to but I don't understand what your point is in b****ing about it. We all know how poles work, how they often phrase questions in a manner that distorts the response, and how they don't work.
Obamacare was already aflame and in full crash and burn mode long before Trump won the election last November. Don't embarrass yourself by trying to deny it.
Trump really angling for that under 30% approval rating. Guy is on par with a child molester running the country. Really hard to get under 30%.
So obviously Trump really doesn't care about getting congress to come up with a bi-partisan solution... Trump opposes bipartisan Obamacare rescue plan http://www.politico.com/story/2017/10/13/trump-opposes-bipartisan-obamacare-rescue-plan-243752
If that's true, it's even more embarrassing the GOP can't come up with a plan. This time Trump can't hide behind Congress and the blame will fall to him if these actions create more chaos. However it is true Trump started defunding aspects of ACA earlier on which are directly making premiums more expensive than they'd be otherwise in 2017.
It is really hard to fathom the first year in office going much worse for America politically or for a Trump presidency.
Rand Paul is the typical libertarian-- little concern for others. "The virtue of Selfishness" to quote thier heroine Ayn Rand. Rand got his., so what is the fuss. To be as charitable as possible a childish belief in free markets for all human life. If Rand had a few beers and would not be recorded he would probably be for a completely free market in the child sex business. Switched from being an eye doctor to the family "libertarian" business. Paid better, no doubt. Trump is hastening the day when the chant will be: "We are number two!" "We are number two!" People will have to brag that America is in the top half of such health statistics as child mortality or adult lifespan for the 99%, but still number one for the one percent.
So basically he is holding ACA and million's of people health care hostage to get his border wall like a petulant child. Give the man his wall and let's save people's lives. The man child can have his wall.
Most of us should realize that trump was a disaster waiting to happen. Has trump made one good decision in office so far?
