I did. MLK makes a point that it's within human nature to riot given circumstances from the French Revolution to the Rodney King riots. That's my point. That was MLK's point for his quote also. Do you disagree with MLK or do you think he had a brain fart and just blurted that line for no reason other than it sounds cool? I've made this point multiple times and at this point I'm just assuming you just want to argue with me for no reason. You know how when you can't stand someone and simple action fr them such as how they laugh might sound annoying? That's what you are doing. For some reason you really don't like me as a poster. I just wanted to give context to the quote and I am not judging it in any way, I actually feel the same way at some point violence is needed but to use this quote when most of the violence and property destruction is just out of malice and greed does not represent MLK well.
I agree with his overall philosophy but IMO using that quote when most of the rioting and violence is being done from a place of greed and mischief is definitely not what he meant at all. My point is the quote is not representative of what is going on here. Most of therioters don't give a **** about the circumstance and are just opportunist.
You still don't get the point of the quote. He wasn't making a normative claim about rioting with the quote. I think in your head you think the quote means "there is a certain point when rioting is justified". That isn't the meaning of that quote at all. The meaning of that quote is when you create certain socioeconomic conditions through multiple centuries of grave injustices for a given group of humans, they are going to be statsically more likely to riot and loot. That is the point of the quote. He would say the exact same thing today commenting on the current riots and looting. He probably wouldn't apply that statement to the provactor though, just the people in that community.

Unfortunately a lot of the rioting also occured by members within the community. Maybe they were influenced by provactours but that's the unfortunate reality.
