When Trump, Chuck and Nancy get together, Congress works. The DACA fix bill will be the first major piece of legislation that Trump signs into law.
The CNN ratings for this will be very positive which will encourage Trump to keep on doing deals with the Dems. For the ideologues here on the right who put their hearts on the line for Trump, this is who you voted for. Someone who will turn his back on you at any second for ratings. Of course you guys will not admit you are pissed but we know you guys are. That being said it's only a matter of time before Trump flip flops back to his base because the next time big news breaks on Russia, Trump will want to reinsullate himself again and "the base" will gladly take him back if he says some racist crap again. If the Dream act becomes law though ... kudos to Trump ... credit is given where credit is due. This would be a good thing for Trump to do and I'd applaud him.
Don't know how Trump will react to coverage this time. May get positive takes on CNN and Morning Joe and the like. But this time Breitbart and the like are screaming bloody murder. He does still care about base reaction, no?
Real talk. Hopefully this fix will not punish the children for the "sins"of the parents. And maybe they go a step further and reform what that sin actually is.
Well, I mean, he was a Democrat for nearly his entire life. As I said before the election, Hillary Clinton spent more of her life as a Republican than Donald Trump did. That said, the midterms are going to be an absolute bloodbath for the Republicans. The border wall was a lie, repealing Obamacare was a lie, and now they are planning on passing what amounts to an amnesty bill. Pretty much a worst case scenario for both the Republican party and the country as a whole.
So we've been talking about the DREAM Act since the Bush administration and Democrats have been yacking about this the entire time and when Democrats are literally at their weakest in Congress since the 1920s, they somehow have the political strength to potentially get this passed. And somehow Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi now have more political sway than Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan. What a weird moment in history...
I think trump will walk back this deal with the Democratic leadership. He'll sit squirming on the toilet as he types some wiggle room, tweeting some confusing **** about the bargain.
The velcro Reebok and camo tank top crowd will ease off their support for a conspicuous white supremacist because he is not deemed sufficiently cruel to latinos. That's a tidy echo of the - who were they? - the Freedom Caucus not supporting the healthcare replacement bill because it was not deemed sufficiently destructive to healthcare. Outstanding work, men. Now please excuse me while I get back to watching stepmom p*rn on Twitter.
Wouldn't celebrate too early if I were Dems. If Trump can turn on Sessions, Coulter, Mitch and Pau, he can turn back on his new "friends" Chuck and Nancy, too. It's just a matter of which side he decided to act petty with. But for now it's funny to watch Ann Coulter lose her mind like somebody took her air plane seat.
10-Year-Old Girl Is Detained By ICE Officers After Emergency Surgery Immigrant advocates are protesting the Border Patrol's apprehension this week of an undocumented 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy after she was operated on at a Texas hospital. Federal immigration officers intercepted the child as she and a cousin, who is a U.S. citizen, were in an ambulance being transferred between two hospitals so that she could receive emergency gall bladder surgery. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/
How dare she sneak into our country at 3 months old. Good for nothing criminal. She is just here using our precious medical resources. Providing no value to the country. Send her back to Mexico.
