Dr Brix is squirming, trying to not speak, afraid of what she would say. Afraid that she'd be tossed aside like so many others, and lose the ability to have any influence on this madman at all. A madman who is busy ruining our country, ruining any coherent response to this pandemic, ruining the lives of our citizens in their millions, causing the deaths for tens of thousands through his unbelievable incompetence, standing between the brilliant scientists and doctors in their thousands that our country produces in such great numbers, and their ability to do something to bring this nightmare to an end. Yet the worst nightmare right now is trump, his hypersensitive ego, his refusal to accept science if it conflicts with whatever popped into his head that he said out loud. Why? Because he cannot abide being wrong. He would destroy our country before admitting that he is wrong about anything. We are being "governed" by a madman, and those around him are afraid to do anything about it. His cabinet could band together and declare him mentally unfit to hold that office, which is what he is, unfit, but they are seeing those around them who might be willing to do such a thing, to make the attempt, pushed out of office and replaced by minions who will do anything trump asks. True believers. Fanatics unqualified for the positions they have been elevated to. So people like Dr Brix stay silent.
