From CNBC: Romney and Trump to discuss secretary of state position, NBC source says http://www.cnbc.com/2016/11/17/romn...retary-of-state-position-nbc-source-says.html It could be "Fake News" though. FWIW. If true however, he would be a great pick for this position.
Bloomberg reports that Jeff Sessions will be the Attorney General. They sound confident in their sources, but they also say that Trump has not offered him the position yet. Sessions is no RINO squish. Cruz apparently made it to the final round for consideration as AG. With that position off of the table, it is probably the Supreme Court or bust for Cruz.
Trump will pick his Supreme Court nominee from his list of 21, according to Kellyanne Conway. Which does not included Ted Cruz. The list is as follows:
And of course this is a few days old, but I will add it in just to be complete. Trump Taps Reince Priebus As Chief Of Staff, Steve Bannon As Chief Strategist.
Donald Trump has tapped Representative Mike Pompeo as CIA Director. Pompeo graduated first in his class at West Point and is a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and of the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
Oh joy, an AG that's against same-sex marriage, against stem cell research, for drilling in protected wildlife lands, pro-life, etc etc. Filling the swamp with more swamp.
Were you expecting Trump to invite invite Eric Holder back? The leftist agenda was thoroughly repudiated this last election. Elections have consequences, to quote someone you know and have a high level of respect for.
Expected Trump to fill positions with people outside of the political norm, as he stated. But, he lies about everything, so no surprise.
We'll see. History says a president that's lost the popular vote rarely gets 8 years. People will not stand to have rights taken away. You think the protests are bad now? Just wait for those LGBT protest... I know you have a fascist vision for this country but it was never meant to be no matter how hard you try to drag this country in that direction.
So, so far we have: Chief of Staff: Reinhold "Reince" Priebus National Security Advisor: Gen. Michael T. Flynn Attorney General: Jefferson B. Sessions III CIA Director: Michael R. Pompeo With Mitt Romney possibly in line to be Secretary of State and maybe Mike Lee or Ted Cruz to be his Supreme Court nominee. This looks like as good of a start on this as I could have possibly hoped for or dreamed of. Keep it up, Donald!
Mike Lee: said candidate Trump "scares me to death." Sessions. Hopefully he has "progressed" since 1986, when being considered for a federal judge nomination by Reagan, said the NAACP and ACLU were "un-American and communist inspired groups that force civil rights down the throats of people." That both groups do more harm than good by demanding things that are not justified. Sessions also said he thought that the KKK was OK until he found out that found out they were pot smokers. And while he denied he ever called a black official the N-word he did admit to saying a white civil rights attorney was a disgrace to his race. I am sure all this will be examined in detail during confirmation hearings. btw, you forgot to also list Steve Bannon. Yea, I'd be hiding that name too.
Climate change denier, as well, who opposes LEGAL immigration; has fought against guest worker programs and visa programs for foreign workers in STEM. Seems when you drain the swamp, you're left with a lot of scum... who knew?
What history? Did Bush not get elected again? Its kind of hard for Kennedy to get re-elected considering he was killed. Earlier examples were much more complicated than simple popular/electoral vote counts.
Disappointed in Romney that he's willing to have a conversation about a cabinet position after his statements about Trump's incompetence for the office. I swear none of these politicians have any self-respect. It's pathetic.
