Are rich people supposed to get richer? Government tax breaks should be temporary. I don't see anything wrong with this.

If your goal as a human living on this planet, especially if you have children, isn't to make as much money as possible then what is your purpose?

How much is enough? A million, billion, trillion? At some point you've made enough for generations. We were put on this earth to help others not just to get drunk on wealth accumulation.

Have you pay SSC tax? If so, this budget is effectively routing some of that to the rich and not to you when you are at the age where you can start receiving SSC benefits.

I know most of us didn't witness the great depression and what it did to the poor. Social programs were a direct result of that. MAGA is turning the clock back to that time.

    Yes it is.

There is nothing that should be surprising in this. I know that in the past Trump has said he would not do this....... but come on.

I put this up there with the "No new taxes" and some of the statements made by Obama.

The democrats can likely try to use it successfully but it isn't shocking.

No my goal in life isn't to make as much money as possible.

Having children has made it even less of a priority.

My goal is to live a rewarding life, to foster strong and beneficial relationships with people, learn and see new things and to be a good husband to my wife and most importantly to set a good example for my children.

The purpose in life is NOT greed.

Have you ever been on government assistance? I know people that have. I've driven friends to the wic office and went to Walmart at midnight with them to buy food with their food stamps. Those people now are both doctors. They're rich and are getting richer by the day, they live in nice houses, drive nice cars and their kids are in private schools. I'm not saying that they are meant to be emulated exactly but those two exemplify how government assistance should work, you get knocked off your path, you get help, get back on your feet and then get off it. There are too many people legal and illegal that live off government assistance with no ambition. Seriously, go to a wic office, or the hhsc office and ask some of those people how long they've been receiving benefits

Literally he is taking down the USA - we will be breaking up as a country very soon.

If the USA wants to stay together, get rid of the GOP, or the current iteration.

Man, I wish Trump would drop dead ASAP.

There is a tipping point and I do not know where that point is........

But consider that the Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 elections....

Consider the increased call for populist candidates at the Presidential level.

Consider that someone that is socialist may well win the Presidency......

Look at the massive divide between rural and urban.

It would likely only take a 4-5% change in voting patterns to result in an absolutely massive change at the federal and state level.

It isn't guillotines but true hatred and shame can be effective.

So with this knowledge in mind, instead of complaining about the establishment, go out and make more money and provide yourself security

Having kids has shown me that Murphy's law is real and we need to prepare ourselves with as many resources as possible

Put a number in your head, then double it. You don't need to buy an island but if you're 35-50 and you can't buy a boat(savings analogy), you're in trouble.

My kids like to do stuff and I find doing stuff with them is rewarding to me. Thus I'm living a rewarding life because I can afford to

I grew up on government assistance.

I have done well professionally and economically but not everyone has or will.

Basic necessities and needs should be met because people have value. No one in the USA should be hungry. People should have access to sufficient medical care and housing.

Children and the disabled should not have to worry about there needs being met. Children should get an education and should be safe.

I agree with you 100% No one in the USA should be hungry with all the jobs and resources available. And people should have access to sufficient housing but if you come to a point in your life where you need help and that help is given, its incumbent upon you to take advantage of that time to plan your life out to improve your conditions for the stability and well being of your family. ( I don't believe non-disabled single people should receive government assistance). You said you grew up on government assistance, are you on it now?
Parents need to make better decisions before having these children
