ironically, its the conservative base that is underestimating the guy the most. He has a great political acumen. He's good at rallying angry people towards fictional boogiemen much like Hitler.
Trump isn't conservative at all, this is all a big scam he's running on the dregs of society that are stupid enough to buy his BS. Fortunately for him, there are a ton of those kinds of knuckle draggers and they are pushing his campaign forward. No serious person, regardless of political ideology, would vote for Trump unless they just wanted to see the entire system in flames without caring about the millions that would suffer as a result. So, basically anarchists and other stupid people might vote Trump, but no one else.
Yes. I think what Trump is doing right now is his best impersonation of what he thinks a conservative is. Maybe to some being a racist, sexist, anti-Islamic, xenophobic prick is what it means to be a conservative but it is most certainly not true. He's been a liberal for his entire life, this is no different than when Bob Barr pretended to be a Libertarian after he stopped being elected as a bible thumping *******.
In fairness, Barr did a better job of pretending to be a Libertarian than Trump is doing pretending to be a Conservative but Barr was actually a politician so it's not THAT surprising.
If you were to compare McCain '00 to Trump '16, maybe you'd have a case for Trump being more conservative. What screws up that narrative is how much further right McCain ended up in '08, and how much further left Trump was back in '00.
There is certainly a precedent in history for Trump. If you support him, you are not supporting a Republican you are supporting a Fascist. What he is doing is nothing different from how Mussolini or Stalin rose to power. He's picked various demographics in society for the lower, working classes to fixate on and blame for all their problems. His language is violent. He is the mob rule incarnate. And when the mob acts, it always acts violently.
Crap like this makes me more motivated to support Trump and spread the word. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BlackLivesMatter?src=hash">#BlackLivesMatter</a> - next time you impersonate white racists to demonize Trump, don't show your actual skin color. <a href="https://t.co/7lfpcmzDWc">pic.twitter.com/7lfpcmzDWc</a></p>— Paul Joseph Watson (@PrisonPlanet) <a href="https://twitter.com/PrisonPlanet/status/702667674862624768">February 25, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
and all those republican establishment fanboys on here who say they wont vote for Trump even when he faces Clinton, say goodbye to your dying party. The Republicans have been useless for so long. No longer the party of people.
Rubio Campaign Calls On Trump To Renounce Pro-Trump White Supremacist Robocalls http://www.redstate.com/dan_mclaugh...nounce-pro-trump-white-supremacist-robocalls/ A white supremacist super PAC is rolling out a fresh robocall campaign this week in Vermont and Minnesota telling voters, “Don’t vote for a Cuban. Vote for Donald Trump.” In a recording of the robocall sent to TPM, American National Super PAC founder William Daniel Johnson calls on white Americans to brush aside their fears of being branded as racist and stop the “gradual genocide against the white race” by electing Trump. “The white race is dying out in America and Europe because we are afraid to be called ‘racist,’” Johnson says in the recording, which will be pushed out Wednesday in Vermont and Thursday in Minnesota. Voters in both states will head to the polls on Super Tuesday to vote in the Republican presidential primary. Johnson, who serves as the head of the white nationalist American Freedom Party, has pushed out similar robocall campaigns through his PAC in Iowa and New Hampshire. Both the party and PAC explicitly praise Trump for espousing what they see as a pro-white, anti-immigrant message.
More related to the actual thread topic than random twitter photos of yahoos: Mittens making interesting suggestions about Trump's tax return. I doubt he's correct. I would be the Donald got his house in order before running for POTUS. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/mitt-romney-predicts-bombshell-donald-trumps-tax-returns/story?id=37172029
