We don't have a clear cut 2nd best player IMO. On any given day it could be Capela or Bev or Ryno or Gordon or Lo or even Ariza.

That is the magnitude of Harden's efforts this season. He has dragged a team without a clear 2nd best player to 3rd best overall record.

2nd best player varies from day to day, game to game, quarter to quarter.

I don't watch games. Following the stats, Capela has a positive plus/minus most nights.

His per 36 averages are 18 and 12

Well Ariza is an all-star so I guess him. It's hard to pick a 2nd best player when we've assembled arguably the greatest supporting cast in history.

No. But it is amazing how Harden/MDA have turned him into a primary threat that opponents have to game plan against. If you give us space, or sag your big with no help defense, Harden will attack with the Drive / Roll dual threats of the PnR, until you open up the 3s by bringing help.

    pick your poison

I don't think Capela is our 2nd best, but it wouldn't surprise me if he is 15/10 next year (or higher in the ppg department).

Well since Terrence is gone I'm sure @Batman Jones would agree that Clint has moved up the totem pole to #2.

2nd Best Rocket Power Rankings (in my opinion)...

    1. Capela (BARELY)
    2. Ariza
    3. Beverley
    4. Nene
    5. Gordon

Can be any of these guys on any given night. I would also say that while he's not in my Top 5, Ryan Anderson might be the 2nd most important player on the team.

I am open to disagreement, though. There's really no clear-cut answer.

If Capella is our 2nd best player then I want to stop hearing everyone tell me Westbrook has no help.

Since he's been here, I've been impressed with his intangibles like touch and instinct. It matches Harden almost perfectly from the center position. He dives extremely well on the pnr and he and harden have tremendous chemistry on alley oops

    Sadly, this may be true.

Perfect center that you can build this Harden-centered team around. He can provide rebounding and rim protection on one end while still being mobile enough yet not as ball dominant to make a consistent impact on the offensive end.

And some idiots on here what to trade him. He's our second best player!!!! (Russell:rolleyes:)

I don't know if anyone is our second best player. Some nights he is. I think he is very good for the Rox. I am glad we have kept him long enough to develop. I would enjoy seeing him in the RedNationArmy for years to come, to continue our rich history of great Big Men.

By almost every metric he is, but I personally think Beverley is more valuable to this team. I don't think there is another non-star guard in this league that fits better next to Harden. Capela is good at what he does and gets numbers, but there are several players in this league that would produce like he has in this system playing with Harden.

False. I remember Kanter just murdering him. Pretty much any decent big man kills him and they have to switch to Nene, but he is good at Pnr and dunking.
