Which offensive option do you hate more.

    [X] Ariza bricking threes.
[X] Ariza taking people off the dribble to create a shot.
    [X] Smith bricking threes.
    [X] Smith bricking long twos.
[X] Terry missing jumpers while Canaan is on the bench.
[X] Howard turning the ball over in the post.
[X] DMO taking threes at the top of the arch.

[1 low -- 10 high] Rate your anger level after reading those options.

What I don't get about the Terry/Canaan thing is that it's not like Canaan has been a turnover machine on offense. He's a little too passive for my taste, but he's a willing shooter from anywhere beyond the arc.

And it is absolutely impossible that he's a worse defender than Terry. I don't blame Terry.....he doesn't have much tread left on those legs....but why we sent him out there to guard AB is beyond me. I'm hopeful that this is just because there's been so many changes to this team recently that the coaches didn't want to introduce another variable at the moment.

How about Terry, one of the best spot-up shooters but worst playmakers we've got, making a play and passing the ball to Josh Smith, maybe the worst shooter on the roster, for the jumper.

    Group 2 / rotation

Not sure where else to stick these:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Houston has the second worst offense in the 4th quarter, ahead of only the 76ers.</p>&mdash; Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) <a href="https://twitter.com/HPbasketball/status/552621016719966209">January 7, 2015</a></blockquote>

Why not have Ariza come off the bench? I think he is tired with minutes piling up for the year, thus the bad shooting. Just have him come off the bench and start Papa.

I don't need a chart telling me who we can and can't beat. We can beat anyone.

It comes down to who's hot at the end of the season

I'm too lazy to look for it myself, but it'd be interesting to see charts like that for previous seasons for comparisons sake.

I feel the same way man.

The only stat I see that matters to me is the W-L and I see 7-8...about in the middle of the pack, there are some teams with worse W-L than us and a few better. I don't see the panic because we knew about McHale's offense. Not new to me.

People are going after the wrong thing. When this team was at it's best earlier this year they were locking teams down and playing elite defense. That is what has dropped, that all out hair on fire hustle defense. They are 3rd in defense rating according to that chart.

They need to go back to the mentality of "Defense first, F everything else." I'm worried that while the coaches worry about what is wrong on offense they are forgetting that defense is something you have to sell out to every night and every practice. If you're going to be a elite defense team that is.

Past month or so seems like we're average on defense, better than last year...but it's not going to be enough because this team offense pretty much depends on the three ball...which would be fine if they were playing elite defense...

talent will get you past losing and average teams, but going up against other winning teams is where coaching comes into play.

The ignorance on here is laughable... the only team out West that has looked markedly better than us is the Warriors... THAT'S IT

And they'll be in trouble if they don't have Bogut late in the season/playoffs...

We just made some key changes to the team through trades and acquisitions and now they're starting to look better... Ariza, Brewer, Terry.. those guys are gonna be a huge help come postseason... WE DID NOT have guys like that last season on the team.

Completely untrue if all the injuries and the lineups Harden was carrying are factored in...

I'm pretty sure we're a top 5 offense with Harden and Howard in the lineup

A LOT of people are completely puzzled by this and I am too. The only thing that makes sense to me right now is that there is a potential offer imon the table from the rockets definitely involving Canaan (hopefully for Dragic) and the rockets are hoping for the other team to respond (trade deadline, fall in rankings) and the team does not want to risk Canaan to injury so have instructed mchale to use him sparingly and mchale is being a good soldier. It's the only theory I have that makes sense. I agree that Canaan needs burn otherwise.

McHale sees him in practice and we don't. We only see a very small sample of what McHale sees.

If he's not playing well in practice, he's going to have a difficult time getting into the rotation.
