Gun nuts are paranoid loons. They always think someone is trying to take their guns. Any time there's a school massacre or a Democrat gets elected, gun sales soar.

One of the top 10 most depressing things you could do in life would probably be to read this entire thread in one sitting.

There was never a reason to defend George Zimmerman. That jury will go down as one of the most idiotic in the history of mankind. George has shown that he is a horrible human being in countless incidents, but for whatever reason, he'll always celebrate his legacy as a murderer, taunting the Martin family with every opportunity.

He could have just kept to himself that night. Really. It's that simple. But, we all know that George has a problem keeping his hands off of people, including his significant other.

Tray's family won't see justice for their son in this lifetime, but there are plenty of us who believe that George will receive a deserved, constant punishment in another lifetime.

Mr. Martin was kicked out of school and caught with burglary tools in his backpack. He was walking around at night looking in windows. That is exactly why you have neighborhood watches -- to confront people like that! If someone that matches that description was anywhere near my house, I'd want them confronted as well. The fact that Mr. Martin died was because he picked a fight with a man with a gun and beat him to within inches of his life before the gun was actually used upon him. The media has really distorted public opinion on this issue -- Mr. Martin really can't be defended at all.

If you are looking to pursue the "blacks are discriminated against" cause, this isn't the case to do it. The multi-racial jury agrees with me.

assume someone like a fat kid got shot by Zimmerfield and a new trial started , the defense team use substance like : that fat kid was psychopath with personality disorder and the reason behind it , he used multiple user names on internet forums, does this elevate it as an excuse to dismiss the suspect shooter action!

Mr. Martin was confronted by a member of the neighborhood watch because he was acting in a suspicious manner. The issue could have ended right then and there had Mr. Martin continued on his way and gone home. He did not -- instead he chose to assault Mr. Zimmerman, who then used deadly forced when his life was threatened.

The weight of the deceased is irrelevant, and weight is not a reason for a neighborhood watchman to make a stop. Acting suspicious, looking in windows, being out of place (Mr. Martin was not from the area), aimlessly wandering around at night -- those are the very criteria that neighborhood watchmen look for. Like it or not, Mr. Martin was a confirmed threat to the community. He picked a fight and lost. Simple as that.

The multi-racial jury rose above the emotional arguments of the media to render a just verdict in the trial. Hard to argue with that, at this point, especially when you have less info that the jury had.

Let's say that Zimmerman was rightfully acquitted. Does that make him any less of a ****bag for waving the death of an unarmed teenager that he killed with a firearm as some sort of accomplishment and receiving monetary gain from it?

Mr. Zimmerman's economic livelihood has been utterly destroyed by a media that convicted him in the court of public opinion. He has now been rendered unemployable because of the wrongful accusations by the media -- accusations that he successfully defended in court. At this point, he is reduced to selling his possessions to make money. It's a sad story on all fronts for all involved.

This is absolutely pathetic. It was Zimmerman's choice to put himself back in the limelight with asinine rhetoric such has his firearm being a piece of "American history". He's PROUD THAT HE killed Martin. To him, it's the biggest accomplishment of his life to shoot an unarmed individual because you are getting your ass handed to you. I have no pity or remorse for that dude and I'm quite positive that any of you Zimmerman nuthuggers who act like you have some sort of empathy for the man would think he is a douchbag in person and there is plenty of merit to make such an accusation of his personal character as he has put himself in **** situations with law enforcement many times after he was acquitted. He's a **** human. He was already unemployable before he killed Martin. He didn't even have the credentials to be employed as a local LEO which isn't that difficult to do in the first place. What job do you think he has been actually barred from? It isn't like he is educated.

His level of skill for employment before killing Martin - McDonalds
His level of skill for employment after killing Martin - McDonalds

Please elaborate how the media is barring Zimmerman from pursuing a lucrative career.

We must agree to disagree. I simply do not see it the way you do. I believe Mr Zimmerman had good intentions when he approached Mr Martin. Mr Zimmerman was trying to protect the community from crime -- that's why he made the stop. Mr Martin then attempted to kill him and Mr Zimmerman successfully defended himself. Mr Zimmerman did nothing wrong and the multi-racial jury agreed by acquitting him. The media on the other hand, wrongfully accused him of crimes and of being a racist. As such, his ability to earn a living has been irreparably harmed.

[educational post]Mr. Martin was caught with auto repair tools in his backpack. He had a flathead screwdriver in his backpack. That's what it was. If you and others want to call that a burglary tool, that's up to you.[/educational post]

The Jury made the right decision for the evidence given. It was a massive mistake to try him on a murder charge, which there clearly wasn't enough evidence for that strong of a charge.

George Zimmerman is a horrible person, and I hope he does get his one day, but you can't blame the jury.

I agree, I don't blame the jury. I blame the legislature for a poor body of law.
