bigtexxx, I want anybody who commits a crime to be arrested and charged accordingly for it. Please show me where I gave you any inclination that I said otherwise. I have not read enough on this case to make a decision. Do you know everything where you could make a sound decision? Do you know for a fact that the person or people said that this was for Trayvon or are you going off of one person's statement? Is it possible there was somebody there with that name and they were misheard? Have people claimed they were beaten in the past but lied about it? Is it possible 1-2 individuals beat him and others stood around and did not take part? Is it possible this man provoked the attack? Is it possible the man and/or his family has some type of agenda against others? I could go on and on and I don't necessarily believe any of that is true or necessarily right if it is true on what I posted above but you cannot, definitively say that it is all untrue. This is the same type of thing you've been posting repeatedly in this thread. We need more facts, right?
Will Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson come out and defend this beaten man and call for the arrests of the perps? Will the black panthers put out a bounty on the perps' heads? Will Bill Clinton say, "If I had a son, he would look like this beaten man"?
The issue isn't what happened to the guy. The issue is the double standard by the media. Where is the tv coverage? That's now 3-4 cases of whites claiming to have been beaten for no reason by gangs of blacks and little to no media coverage for any of it.
If there was little to no media coverage, how did you find out about it? Bill Clinton's BJ got lots of media attention. LOTS. It was almost assuradely in the top 5 stories of the decade. How do you explain the liberal media bias for that? You guys gotta stop with the conspiracy theories. This media bias thing is boring. The media wants ratings. Whatever sells. They are a FOR-PROFIT business. Fox News does the same. They highlight whatever they feel their sheeple want to hear. Sex and Murder sells. The news covers that. It's not a conspiracy unless you consider earning a profit a conspiracy ...and since you are the GOP, you don't think anything is wrong with that, right?

I would not call it strong and I don't think there is any evidence which supports Trayvon starting the confrontation or vice versa. Again, we do not know who assaulted who or who. Let's wait for everything to come out and even then we still probably won't know the truth.
90% of the talk about "racial" topics that are brought up are coming from the right ...not the left. If you guys want to ease the racial tension, then stop bringing up race every 5 minutes. The ONLY people in America that care about the New Black Panthers are Fox News followers. Nobody else cares about them. Was there initial outrage? Yes. GZ's arrest has quenched nearly all of that outrage. The only people left still talking about this is you and your friends. He who smelt it dealt it. Want to ease racial tensions? Close your mouth and wait for the trial.
The only facts to be determined are: was the white man beaten up? was he beaten up by a group of blacks? did the black guys mention Trayvon Martin? These should easy factual determinations, unlike Zimmerman's self-defense claim which was far trickier to evaluate.
Oh, so you are saying it WAS covered in the media? ...and Whitewater? ...and the 50 other "gate" scandals. No president in history as ever been as scruntinized as Bill Clinton. Regardless of how truthful you feel any of the scandals were (many were minor), they were constantly publicized by the so-called leftist media. Fact is, people are biased. It's our fatal flaw. Since we have people that run the media (not robots), if you look hard enough you will ALWAYS find bias in anything that people touch. media bias? Yawn.
There are cases similar to this one and others on all sides not to mention the thousands upon thousands of heinous crimes committed every day in this country. None of them receive the type of media coverage this one does. We don't control the media. I don't think the media has a bias, they just concentrate on stories that are going to get them two things, ratings and viewers which help contribute to their bottom lines. Martin's story turned into something huge across the nation if not the world so it's natural that news outlets pay attention and focus on it more during their broadcasts because that is where the news is. Yes, you're going to have some in the media fabricate things (NBC employee), that's just part of it. Can you honestly name one media or news outlet that has not at one point done this? No, because everybody wants to be the first with that exclusive or only on channel 5 or something similar so they can be first and everybody pays attention to them. The media doesn't care about black, white, yellow or any other color besides green. They're not non-profit organizations.
Idiots will be idiots and need very little motivation. You can't predict what will motivate an idiot so society can't be held accountable for idiots doing stupid things. Idiots always find a way demonstrate their nature. Unless we see a rash of dozens/hundreds of such incidences all over the country, you are stretching.
