If we end up spending big free agent dollars elsewhere (Harden, FVV, Bruce Brown, Cam Johnson, etc) and want to just add a low-cost center who does some things Sengun doesn't, Boston's 6'10" PF/C Mike "Moose" Muscala could be a decent pick up who is a significant upgrade on offense over Garuba. Here are his per 36 minutes stats:

And here is a good article breaking down some of his film and some of his strengths and weaknesses:

The TL;DR is that he's a very good outside shooter who can also do some other things in the pick-and-roll game, and is an okay but not great defender who gets beat by bigger guys in the post but is decent at guarding smaller players.

He wasn't getting too much run with the Celtics after being traded to them, and they didn't give up much to get him, so the price should be low.

If our draft pick does end up being Amen Thompson, and we do sign a veteran point guard and bring Thompson off the bench, we're going to need some good shooters to play with Amen in the second unit. A low-cost bench guy like Moose could be just the ticket.

He might be a FA? 29th June is the deadline to exercise the team option

Possible! His salary is very low so you'd think they would only do that if they need a little bit of extra cap space to get some more important deal done, but you never know.

Nothing like bringing in a new guy with a racist dad to improve locker room culture.

I'm not going to hold a guy responsible for dumb sh*t his parents do. IIRC he called his father out for it right away when that happened.

Per 36 shouldn’t be used as single basis for a player performance or projected performance. It simply is a projection and normalization metric based on rebounds, points etc per minute not per game while not taking into account endurance of players, or the pace of the team or extra possessions on offense or takeaways for the opposing team, which allows for more or less rebounding or scoring opportunities etc. It’s just a projection tool based on assumptions.

Yeah, it's imperfect, but it does make it easier to compare players against each other than Per Game stats since minutes (even for bench players versus other bench players) can vary so wildly. Perhaps Per 100 Possessions numbers would be better, but in my experience those numbers usually end up being noticeably higher than the Per Game numbers for a starter, so I didn't want to confuse people.

Would be really awkward when he met MOMSTER, Kenyon and Jabari Srs.
