A few guesses: 1. KMart + Patterson + Knicks 1st round Pick + Dragic (or some package like that) to MIL, Jennings and Jackson and Brockman and to Lakers, Gasol to Houston. Not really all the likely, but probably something similar to what the team is shooting for in a Gasol deal. 2. KMart+Morris to Utah for Millsap or Jefferson. 3. 09 busts + Minny's 2nd round pick + cash for Kaman. 4. Dragic to Lakers for a 1st rounder (this is Bimathug's trade idea, won't take credit for it, but sounds reasonable enough). Sounds somewhat plausible. Jefferson is "McHale's guy" the same way that Kevin Martin is "Adelman's guy." I wonder if the teams can work out a 3-way with Martin going to Minny, Minny shipping something to Utah and Utah sending Jefferson to Houston.
I don't think there is any way the Rockets trade a PG at the deadline without at least getting one in return. Not with Lowry out.
I agree with Kaman to Houston for expiring contracts and the Minnesota second round pick, and maybe some cash; otherwise, we strike out.
Lowry is a more all around player than Jennings. However Jennings is a better version of AB who can both score and break up the other team's defense and create opportunities. When I come Lowry and Dragic, I think Dragic is doing better on breaking down the defense than lowry, and he is shooting really good out side the 3 point line these past two games. It's kind of hard for me to let him go, and I wonder what's his salary range going to be next season.
If DM weren't the GM, I'd say there have been too many Gasol rumors for it not to happen. But, Morey's too unpredictable. Generally, I'd say we'll do somewhere between last year, at the low end, and the year before, for the high end. I think he'll probably not get what he wants, so we'll focus on keeping our cap space for the off-season. We'll do a cap-neutral deal or deals, or maybe eat some of our cap space for one decent deal and one that gets us cap space or a pick. ... deals such as, Kaman or Bogut, or maybe netting us some picks, or one decent player coming in for somebody that we don't need. Maybe we get Turner, Iguodala, or Dorell Wright.
