T-Mac talking about Beasley I swear if i see someone make a thread just for what i'm about to post.... http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....n-the-league-today-including-michael-beasley/
Being honest was never a problem for McGrady. But, I don't think he should spend too much energy kicking himself for the decision to go to Orlando. That was the original superfriends team and they would have been great if not for Grant Hill's injury. It was a good bet that went bad. I think the knucklehead problem has gotten better over time, not worse. Maybe it's more noticeable now because the knuckleheads stand out from the pack more starkly. But the legal troubles and the drug use, the fighting, etc. were all worse in the 70s and 80s than they are now. Even from McGrady's generation, you still had Sprewell choking his coach, Artest and Jackson beating up fans, Jay Williams' bike accident, Jayson Williams shooting a driver with a shotgun, Chris Andersen banned for drug-use, Rodman, Rasheed Wallace, etc -- a bunch of stuff still. Nowadays, you've got Beasley, the Arenas gun incident, Royce White, what else? I think knuckleheads are eliminated from the NBA pool faster than ever.
Regardless, I think it would have helped him grow up. Being a cog in a machine, rather than the lone good player on a crappy team in Orlando.
I agree, after that game in Toronto where he just gave up on his Rockets and played from the half court line, he should have just stayed there.
don't forget he hasn't won a playoff series in china either instead of ying and yang, he's just all yap
I don't know man, if I ever found snails that could legitimately dance, I think I'd be pretty excited.
Mcgrady talks too much all the time but i agree with his beasley comment. tmacs taken advantage off his opportunities in the nba. no problems off the court. On the court is a different story.
Rockets fans expect much from their superstars. Four years from now Rox fans will have similar things to say about Harden.
