Now that we are getting more exposure and landing some big name players (assuming we snag somebody this offseason) I think something needs to change with the selection of music that is played during our offensive possesions and even during timeouts, ect. I think it gets the players a little more hyped up when a better song comes on rather than a rock song (Saliva- Click Click Boom). They play that song at least 3 to 4 times a game during one of our possesions. Our guys are young and we are playing alternative rock from 99-2000? What we need is what Memphis has. They have somebody that understands what a majority of the players will get into and as well as the crowd. Lets face it, the majority of the crowd and players like hip hop/rap. It goes hand in hand with basketball. Surely, I cant be alone on this irritation
E ver ree Bo dee clap yur hands... E ver ree Bo dee clap yur hands... E ver ree Bo dee clap yur hands... Ugh.......... I hate this. And no more gungDUMB dancing. Notice Harden's bopping and demon eyes in the huddles before games when they play Alicia Keys??!! He's like psycho man. Whatever gets you off I suppose.
Yeah I wouldn't expect them to but there has got to be somebody in charge of that department so that they don't have to worry about it.
As an Aussie I request more ACCA DACCA! I really hate that Will I Am playoff song "Power" on NBA TV. He looks like a dork.
If you guys want to go to school, make a ton of money, then buy a suite in the Lexus lounge, you'll be allowed to pick the music. Until then, you'll probably just have to live with it.
i think most nba experiences wont live up to the true spirit of basketball because they have to maintain mass appeal its gay as ****
They freaking play "Some Nights" by fun and that one song by Philip Philips that has almost a blue grass sound in the instrumental. I cringe every time. I agree with the OP 1000%. Play music that the players want. The instrumental versions. It probably sounds the same as the censored versions. The music the play outside of Toyota Center before the game is better than their in-game music.
it should be rap since we have a young team why you gonna play something the team never even heard of cause the ticket holders people who arnt even playing in the game ...
One thing many game experience staffs fail to understand. During a home team's offensive possessions there should NOT be ANY music playing.
