Lower Bowl non-club season ticket holder here. Our section really gets into it. Never too many empty seats...maybe a handful.

I definitely see the lack of action in the club section though. I ended up in the club section for the triple overtime Minny game and felt like me and my brother were the only ones cheering at times.

They actually upgraded your seat? Did an usher ask you if you wanted to move down?

Rockets officials moved people down from the upper deck last night to fill out all the unsold lower level seats

I was at the game and it was actually a very boring game, there was zero excitement. Some games are just that way.

Well, not every game like the 2009 playoff game 6 against Lakers. :p

But I have been waiting for this kind blowout win all season.

I’m surprised that the Rockets have yet to fix this. The OP seems to have made a good suggestion but what do I know. Can’t force folks who actually buy the tickets to show up.

Because we want the Rockets to be better than the rest of the NBA?

Remember that scene in Caddyshack when they opened up the country club pool to the employees? Do that in the lower bowl 6 minutes into the 3rd quarter. Hijinks will ensue.

As long as most of them are corporate seats, season ticket holders or bought up by scalpers, then it'll be like that for quite awhile.

I notice it in places like Detroit, Orlando, Brooklyn ect. But they get very few national games. The Rockets attendance or lower bowl seems to be the worst among contending teams who get most of national air time. Boston, Toronto, Philadelphia Lakers, GS, Utah, even Minny don’t seem to the same issue. It’s more embarrassing when you have a real contending team and the seats seem empty. My father lives in California, and not a Rockets fan. He brings this topic up several times each year, and he only watches the Rockets when on TNT, ESPN, or NBATV. Non Rockets fans notice it from afar.

keep saying this idea over and over again.

if they're not there by half-time, resell the tickets in the arena for 30% of the price.

    you snooze you lose.
