I've been going past 3 years, this year has been a significant improvement Also, lots of people be out of their seats walking around the arena. There's a kids section up top that is always full. Lower section for adults (bar/lounge) and the Rockets shop stays busy Not to mention concessions, restrooms etc People always walking around
You must not have followed the stros before the golden era. Stadium was literally empty. I still have pics of lower bowl sections and everything behind me was empty
They've actually won a championship within the past few years. The product Rockets put out for the past 3 years was borderline unwatchable.
Attendance has always been crap in TC regardless of good or crappy team. Even worse if they suck or fringe playoff team.
San Antonio struck gold with Wemby. They were able to raise ticket prices and sell out games all while tanking. The Rockets still need that star who will help sell tickets. That's why FVV may be gone before next season in addition to Green or someone else if an upgrade becomes available. As good he's been, people aren't buying tickets just to come see the 40 million dollar man play. They need to trade for a legit star and/or morph into one of the best teams of the league if they want to start selling out games. It should get better. It's hard to sell season tickets when you're letting fans know the team isn't yet ready to contend for a championship (phase 2). The exit interview with Jalen shall be interesting.
I’ve gone to many games this season, and I go to many games every year…TC pretty much always looks empty, and the atmosphere is among the worst in the NBA it’s such a shame I don’t like baseball and don’t give a damn about the Astros, but I’ve gone to some games in the past, and that place used to be so empty u could pick any seat u want in the house and just go there and chill
I agree, the atmosphere at Toyota center is so blah. Hey it’s the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter let’s play “Welcome to the Jungle”!! Aka the same song they’ve been playing since T-Mac and Yao were hoopin in crunch time. No sort of thought or energy put into things it seems like.
You could get $2 seats and go sit really good seats at the bottom. The rockets tickets are pretty overpriced for how terrible the team has been.

Yup I remember doing that for the stros. I did go to a rockets game at the beginning of the season and sat on the floor seats right behind the goals for $100. Compared to your normal playoff team year that’s super cheap
They had Hardenin his prime and developement and it was still plenty of dead nights at the Toyota center. Jsut not that type of arena
