It doesn't have to be in any particular order, but name your five best videogames from any system or arcade that you have played. For me... 1. Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt (NES)- This one started it all for me. I was 7 at the time watching my next door buddy play it all day, I had to cry to my parents to get them to buy me a Nintendo Entertainment System. 2. Double Dragon (arcade)- In the late 80's, this was the game in the arcade that only mattered to me. I spent every ounces my allowence on this game. It aslo happen to be one of the best NES game also. 3. FF7 (PS1)- No one including myself, was never into RPGs during that time when the PS1 had just came out...until FF7. With its powerfull story line(remember Aeres?), groundbreaking graphics and sound, I finally realized what rpgs were all about, and I even went out to find the older FF3. 4. Resident Evil (PS1)- The first survival horror game that I ever played and the one that spawned a lot of clones in our generation today. Its Scary, suspensfull, along with awesome weapons and cool puzzels. Who didn't jump when that dog came crashing through the window in the hallway? 5. Metal Gear Solid (PS1)- The is the ultimate video game, one that I had envision what video game should be like and the most realistic when it comes to imitating real like. Like Resident Evil, this game spawned many clones of its kind. Using a sniper,M16,ak-47, setting c4's on your foes back pocket, throw grenade to disable tank threads etc...this game had it all first.
1. Final Fantasy Tactics PS1 2. Metal Gear Solid PS1 3. Kartia PS1 4. GoldenEye N64 5. Star Wars KOTOR PC
1. The Legend of Zelda - NES - I played this game so many hours, my parents had to take away my controllers every once and a while. (I'm going to honorable mention The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for N64, I simply loved those games as well) 2. Metroid - NES - Simply awesome. SNES version was great too. 3. Super Mario Bros. 3: Took the franchise to a whole new level and paved the way for the SNES version. 4. Halo (original): I wasted so many hours in college playing COOP and Split Screen on this game. 5. Contra (NES) - First game a played CO-OP with a friend. That was a lot of fun.
1. Tecmo Super Bowl (NES) 2. Street Fighter II (Arcade) 3. Civilization (PC) 4. Goldeneye 007 (Nintendo 64) 5. Gran Turismo (Playstation)
FF7? I lost interest after the one's on SNES. I tried to play FF8 on the Playstation, but couldn't get into it. Maybe I should give some of the others a chance. If you haven't played FF1, I'd recommend going back to the beginning.
This is pretty tough, in no particular order Super Mario 3 (NES) Contra (NES) Goldeneye (N64) NBA Live 95 (SNES) Mario Kart (SNES) Honorable Mention: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Games (NES) Street Fighter II (SNES) Battle toads (NES)
1. GTA III - Changed gaming for me 2. Resident Evil - Hooked me on Umbrella Corp 3. Supert Mario Kart - Best Racer Ever 4. Castle Wolfenstein - Wore out my Apple IIE 5. NBA Jam- Couldn't get by Dream on D
I could see where you coming from, some people are either into the older 8/16bit FF or the newer more causual FF. I happen to like the newer FF, but recently I'm digging the older stuff too...FF3 was fabulous. It will be almost to impossible to find FF1, unless I get an emulator, but I hate playing console games on a pc.
Two games from NES... Tecmo Super Bowl Dragon Warrior by far the greatest 2 video games I have ever played.
My favorites Space Invaders ~ Atari 2600 Adventure ~ Atari 2600 Missile Command ~ Atari 2600 Super Mario Bros. ~ NES Zelda64
Top PC games (Franchises): 1. Starcraft 2. Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Civilization 4. NFL Madden 5. Age of Empire/Mythology
Gran Turismo (the series) Pac Man (Miss, Junior, etc.) Super Mario Brothers (the first one) Tecmo Super Bowl (Nintendo) Galaga (the 3rd one)
