With all the music and movie threads I thought that I would combine them into one. Rules are that the movie can't star a famous musician and the story cannot be about a musicians life. So 8 Mile is out since it stars Eminem and "The Doors" soundtrack is out since it's about the doors. "The Matrix" soundtrack is fine even though it stars Keanu Reeves and he is technically a musician, but he isn't a star because of it. So here is the list I came up with. 1. High Fidelity 2. Top Gun 3. Fast Times at Ridgemont High 4. Pulp Fiction 5. The Matrix
1. The Blues Brothers (technically not real musicians) 2. The Commitments (not a real band) 3. This is Spinal Tap (not a real band...sort of) 4. Rushmore 5. Dazed and Confused Darkhorse- Risky Business. Lot's of Tangerine Dream minimalism tunes to veg out to.
1) Little Shop of Horrors 2) Batman 3) The Lion King 4) Heavy Metal 5) "Tommy" is disqualified so I don't have a fifth.
Romeo + Juliet (the Claire Danes movie) Stealing Beauty From Dusk Til Dawn Repo Man Lost Boys Singles Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
1)Heavy Metal 2)Lost Boys 3)Honeymoon in Vegas 4)Muppet Movie 5)I dunno, lets.... go.... with.... Tron.
The Blues Brothers band was a great collection of R&B musicians, even if it was Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi singing. They were all famous, and had played with the likes of Otis Redding. Personally, I like the Ocean's Eleven soundtrack. There's some cool music on that. I'm not really a soundtrack person myself.
Are we talking about soundtracks or movie scores? There's a difference between the two. What, no love for Good Morning, Vietnam?
The Original Crow Soundtrack/Score as well as the Crow City of Angels soundtrack and Score.. Both Scores especially by Graeme Revell are absolutely amazing..
