Purpura? Hello? Cat? Where are you? Wade and his staff need to get it right on draft day for the next few years, and it sure would not hurt to trade one or two of our high dollar players for some of those top Red Sox or Yankee prospects
This has draft mis-management written all over it. Agreeing to Bud Selig's limits on salary slots, as well as either wasting picks on guys who had already commited to college, vs. haggling over 1-2 million dollars, has severely hampered the minor league systems.
Who exactly is rotoworld? I can't access that website because my work apparently blocks it due to "Games"
What in the hell are you talking to me about? I’ve been ranting for years about how terrible the farm system is. In fact, you’ll note that I’m one of the few who didn’t overreact to giving up 5 players for Tejada – precisely because being the best of a terrible bunch means nothing. It’s the same reason why I didn’t get too upset over the Jennings trade – the only reason Hirsh was highly regarded was that he was the best of an awful group. I really have no idea what you’re getting at – this confirms everything that I and most other fans have said for years.
wanted to hear if you thought there was anything decent in the farm system oh and btw Willy T>>>>>>>>>>Jennings forget the two pitchers
20 bucks and a case of beer>>>>>>>>>>Jennings my point was that I was on record from day 1 saying I would not even move Willy T for Jennings
If you noticed, I used one less > in my comparison. It seems you are equating a case of beer to Taveras.
Are you seriously talking smack on behalf of an outfielder hitting .244 with a .294 OBP and .304 SLG? That's pretty pathetic.
The Astros entire minor league organization needs a revamp. Across the boards, I think everyone of our minor league teams have losing records. On top of that, it seems every year we draft nothing but Pitchers and catchers, sprinkled in with a few outfielders. This team has gone downhill since Hunsicker left.
