Damn it, I forgot Magic. I don't know who'd I take off the list though. This list is impossible. I also forgot stockton/karl malone. I do think that Drexler was/is VASTLY underrated by this board. For much of his career he carried the trailblazer further than Hakeem carried the rockets.
I don't think you REMEMBER Clyde Drexler. The guy was as close to MJ as there ever was in the history of basketball, and he carried the trailblazers to the finals. I'm sorry, but he is better than Karl Malone because of what he did with far less talent than Malone had his whole career.
You forgot to describe that the best team in the 80's (if not all time) was the Fo' Fo' Fo' 76ers with Moses and Dr J--Who dispatched both Bird and Magic in incredibly amazing fashion. You just described two of the best teams in the history of the league. And I added a third. But, they were all competing against each other. Magic won 5 titles in the '80s, Bird won 3, and Moses won one. If Bird did not exist...Magic would have won 7 titles. If Magic didn't exist, Bird would have won 5. Don't give me the crap about Lebron (who I think will be #1 or 2 soon...I'm not arguing that) not having a good team as a reason to devalue Bird and Magic. The competition between the Celtics, Lakers and 76ers was at a historically high level. You can't say any of them had it easy. Also, Worthy and McAdoo were not teammates. At lots of laughs at Cooper, Scott and Kupchak being better than average starters without Magic. Kupchak... r e a l l y. Secondly, Magic revived Kareem's career. Look at Kareem's pitiful years either missing the playoffs or getting dismissed in round 1 or 4-0 by Bill Walton. The incredible beauty of Magic is he revived Kareem's career and went through the juggernaut teams of Moses and Bird. Magic is the best fastbreak player the game has ever seen. He is also the best passer and dribbler the game has ever seen. And he was the best floor and lockerroom leader the game has ever seen.
1. Jeremy Lin 2. Jeremy Lin 3. Jeremy Lin 4. Jeremy Lin 5. Jeremy Lin 6. Jeremy Lin 7. Jeremy Lin 8. Jeremy Lin 9. Jeremy Lin 10. Jeremy Lin am I doing this right?
Define further? I'm not underrating Drexler. At worst, I am underrating the SG position in my list. And how dare you say us Houstonians and Rockets fans underrate Drexler, anyhow. What is happening what, is you are underrating Hakeem by placing Duncan ahead of him. That's the definition of underrating players. And you don't have Moses Malone on your list.
farther, douche. But heypee, you, of all people, should know that drexler was probably the second best player in the league for about 3 years running when those trailblazers were making their run. Also, Clyde got to the finals before MJ did and before Hakeem did.
Drexler was never the second best player in the league. Hakeem was. Make no mistake. You are incredibly underrated Hakeem to say Drexler was ever EVER better than him. We don't underrate Drexler on this board. But apparently you overrate him. And Barkley was better than Drexler, too.
You said Drexler got to the Finals before MJ did and Hakeem. Both statements are erroneous. Just shut up and leave this thread....you are so wrong on so many counts.
Why would I forget Clyde Drexler and remember everyone else? I hate Karl Malone. Doesn't take away form what he did.
In no particular order: Michael Jordan Magic Johnson Hakeem Olajuwon Tim Duncan Lebron James Kobe Bryant Larry Bird Moses Malone Clyde Drexler Shaquille Oneal
I'd just like to point out that I rated Hakeem ahead of Clyde. But I also recognize the greatness of both players.
You think Wade, Garnett, Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard are better than magic, Bird, and Kobe? Did you watch basketball before 2000?
