This day, December 24th, marks the 20th Anniversary of the release one of the greatest movies and the best western film of all time of the universe and the cosmos: TOMBSTONE. If you haven't seen this movie... you're no daisy... you're no daisy at all. Happy Tombstone Anniversary, you wretched slugs! ... barber...?
That's right... he wouldn't have had the lead in the Doors if not for his performance in Tombstone... He went from back to back Oscar nomination whispers... to where he is now...
It's a "this thread is devolving into the downward spiral of Kilmer's career" world, and we're all just living in it.
I remember watching the saint on hbo back in the day. I was too kid to know what it was about. I also liked the one with lion.
Elizabeth Shue solved cold fusion, via fax. ("Divide by x.") Dr. Moreau was awful. I remember watching Kilmer impersonating Brando's character over some loud speaker, thinking the writers just gave up. Was that evil girl from The Craft a thundercat or something?
Go ahead skin it...skin that smoke wagon and see what happens. ..... You gonna do something or stand there and bleed?
'Why, Johnny Ringo, you look like someone just walked on your grave".... Full movie on YouTube. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/u0beTJBQI4g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> DD
Doc Holliday: " I have not yet begun to defile myself" I'm with SwoLy, I think Tombstone is the best western ever made! If you disagree with me then "I'm your Huckleberry!"... ....... ....... .......
I must be missing something. I only thought it was okay. I don't recall movie-goers raving about it or it being critically acclaimed. Certainly didn't feel worthy of having a 20th anniversary. To each their own I guess. I liked "Unforgiven" more than this.
