Do not want Thibodeau at all. Our players would be far more banged up than they already are. Despite all of the hyperbole and rhetoric that goes on around here concerning McHale, he's a fine coach. Health is already an issue without a coach like that. If you have an incredibly young team of 20-22 year old, Thibodeau might be okay, but not for a team that has veterans on it like ours.
OK! U should fire Morey at first, The team's problems r mainly from Morey I don't understand why Morey cann't find a pg for so many years
mchale just signed a 3 year extension and les has never fired a coach that was under contract. no chance.
Thibs is the guy you bring in when you know you can make the finals in the next 2 years and want to maximize your chances. Not so much when you're already dealing with a superstar with huge mileage on him and a nebulous long-term injury, and blatantly still missing one or two pieces.
McHale doesn't realize that playing Harden this much is going to exhaust him before the playoffs even get here. KJ McDaniels was having a nice rookie season, comes to Houston and is never heard from again. I'm just tired of this crap. Give another 5-10 minutes from Harden to McDaniels. Play Prigs a little more when Beverly cannot make a bucket. SMH
He would be a good fit if he didn't over work his players. But at the same time our defense has already improved this year.
Lowry, Dragic r good PGs, but he let them leave 3 yeras ago,and then? Anyone know the Rockets hasn't pg!
For those who defend McHale on the basis that the players like him: Wasn't Stephen Curry allegedly 'upset' when Mark Jackson was let go? That didn't turn out too bad for the Warriors, did it?
Good point.... We want defense, but we don't want Thibs.... We want a player's coach, but we also want discipline??? Man this should be interesting... T_Man
I'll still never understand the extension. Made no sense whatsoever. No other team was gonna blow him away with an offer, why not just wait? If rockets have home court and get bounced out in the first round, how does he deserve to stick around?
Rockets were playing exceptionally well right before he was rewarded. Fair enough, I believe he deserves it. This team is probably overachieving (or was) as we can see now.
