Let's not overestimate what we got for him. We moved up two spots in a draft where a lot of the guys between 10-20 were believed to be on a similar level.

Umm he's talking about last year. Those pro tankers last year who wanted a top pick. Now we have one.

There haven't been a ton of franchise players or all-stars drafted in the past three years. Only Irving, Cousins, and George look great. Morey actually passed on talent like Faried and Vucevic for Macus Morris. I don't think tanking and rebuilding would have benefitted our franchise that much.

Sure, we can make a lot of "what if's" until we both turn blue. But the fact remains that we had the correct assets to be able to pull trades because of the moves we did in the past.

How is that a what if? The return for Dalembert was moving up two spots in the draft.

"lot of the guys between 10-20 were believed to be on a similar level"

this is a hypothetical. Nobody really knows if Presti would have accepted anything else than Lamb - hence.. "What if"

You misunderstood why I said that. We were talking about Sam's value. The value put on pick 12 v pick 14 did not appear to be all that high going in to the draft because so many guys in that range were considered similar level players. I wasn't referring to the Thunder at all but instead how much the Bucks thought they would lose by moving down two spots.

Don't compare us to those loser teams. This team has good management all around. A better comparison would be tankers like the Spurs or the Thunder or the Bulls. Oh, you don't think those teams are tankers? Lol.

You realized that DM has never had a top pick since he took over as GM right? If DM had a top pick to pick a franchise talent, that we would really be like the Wizards, Wolves, or any other loser team you chose to mention?

Don't forget the Clippers and Heat. CP3 and LeBron never sign off on joining those teams without #1 pick Blake and #5 pick Wade.

I am inclined to agree that going up 2 positions up the draft might not be that much of a big deal. But if remember correctly, Morey was trying to package all these draft picks to get a lower draft (6th) or for DH . Adding a 12th pick with 16 and 18 makes it much more valuable
