    dW was banned for spamming.

Having an opinion (even an unprovable or tasteless one), last time I checked, was not against the rules.

I'll extend the same offer. Except I'll respect your preference of an iced tea while enjoying a cold beer myself. We can agree on the nachos.

I think there can be disagreement. I think the D&D is a place for disagreement. That disagreement doesn't have to be overly uncivil.

Also to address the point of getting rid of D&D all together:

It does sometimes creep over into the hangout. But at the same time D&D is a kind of a junkyard for "junk" that would be in the hangout all the time if it wasn't for this repository.

One does not merely "rant" about chili. When it comes to chili and it's cousin, bean soup, I speak with whatever the Texan equivalent of ex cathedra is.

On the other topic, tea was popularized by the English and has a long history in capitalist society. And who is most famous for beer? Germans. In other words, Nazis. So who is the commie now?

    post 104

post 129. more measured, but says the same thing.

and dW doesn't make an appearance until post 134, where he is entirely on point, given the previous 6 pages of attacks on Palin/republicans/tea party.

that he can take any mention of palin by a left-leaning poster and turn it into an all-out assault on her and her followers' character (or lack thereof).

I find it interesting that some of the same people (hint: specifically one who was previously already banned from the D&D) who contributed to that thread going down the drain are sort of continuing the argument even in this very thread here.

I was quite clear. It's not my fault a bunch of well-known and clearly intentional trolls destroyed the conversation - that's why I stopped posting. In fact, I complained about it later in the same thread.

This forum is perfectly fine except for a few obvious "grandfathered" trolls and the occasional misfit or angry outburst. Frankly, if anyone deserves blame for this, it's the moderators who have allowed it to happen by not taking action against said trolls sooner.

Heck, I've made it a goal to not get involved in those sort of stupid spats and have encouraged less disciplined posters to do so as well repeatedly.

As it is - maybe you're right Jeff. Not that I'm "god damn stupid" per your eloquent diatribe, but rather that this forum is...and there is really only one group of folks who can correct that. That being said, I don't care one way or the other.

I think Jeff should have locked the ability to post in this sticky. No one needs to say anything here really. Just read the post.

Even though we both posted in this thread as well, I agree with you on this. But actually, many here are making Jeff's point, so...
