I understand the GS ball movement system but still with all those shooters you can't even peak 9.5 assist?
doesn't work like that and it's not as easy as you think just looking at it on paper. nothing wrong with his assist numbers with the way that team operates
I'm not mad at that, I wouldn't have him in my top 5 list either. He's great, but there's just better players around, which is crazy in itself. Totally agree with @oogie boogie
Outside of Lebron it's really a crowded field. The two frontrunners for MVP have no case for being best player in the world.
And? He's not put in positions to just rack up assists all game long. he play makes when the game dictates itself to. Which is par with what hes been doing. Between all 4 of their guys, they mix it up and have them play different roles. Anyone of those guys could be the passer depending on how the game is going. That's what makes GS so difficult to guard. They have guys that switch from being decoys, screeners, finishers all throughout the game. You have to understand how their system works to know that one guy isn't going to avg 10 assists that you so easily believe think should be happening. Absolutely not.

WOW. CONFIRMED TNT HATES ROCKETS HARDEN not in top 5 ???? Only Kenny voted for Harden, but only because Kenny wants a Rocket job
Do you know that Andre Miller once averaged double digit assists on a team whose best scorer was Lamont Murray? The individual assist number of a PG has more to do with how they run their offense than how good his teammates are.
LOL. Yea, he probably doesn't watching basketball. The offense runs through Draymond and not Curry. Hard to get assists when the PG has to set screen and the ball is in the hand of the PF to make plays. And last year, they ran the offense through Bogut and Green. Same concept with the Bulls during Jordan year. PG ain't going to get assists. My top 5 1.) KD- Offense, Defense, Passing. Complete package this year. 54% FG. All the other top scorers are shooting 41% to 46% 2.) LBJ- he's #1 every year, but like Jordan, you just get tired of him being the best player all the time so you give it to someone else 3.) Kawhai Leroy- complete package, but slacking in defense this year 4.) Harden- Better record than WB 5.) WB - give him credit for Triple double...plus his team does sucks...really suck ...I mean really. No shooter on that team. That's why KD left
EXACTLY. Let's not forget when Mike D was running the Lakers offense, this stiff averaged 10 assists! I forgot his name. But he was averaging 10 assists as a starter under Mike D because the ball was controlled by the PG the entire time. If you play under Kerr or Jackson, the PF and Center are controlling the ball at the top of the key and the PGs are setting screens so they can get open shots for themself. Watch Curry, he's setting screen for himself to get loose.
Kendall Marshall Averaged 12 assists per game one month with the Lakers!!!!!! If you have the ball in your hand the entire time, you're going to get assists!!! 1. Lebron 2. Durant 3. Curry 4. Harden 5. Kawhi Imo after Lebron and Durant it simpy can't be ranked. Those two are so clear cut 1 and 2 but after that it's only opinion. Call me a homer if you want to but Harden is the second best facilitator in the league after Bron and he's the 3rd most dominant ALL AROUND offensive force in the league behind Bron and KD. Because Curry is the best shooter of all time and has a MVP you have to put him 3rd. And Kawhi's elite defense AND offense is what gets him the 5th spot over Westbrook on my list. Now the reason I left out Westbrook is because his game is flat out undisciplined. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but when he's on the court he does his own thing and doesn't put his team first. I believe this is why his stats don't translate to wins like they should.
