The woman, identified only as Jane Doe. ------------------------ How hard is TMZ trying to troll on this story?
Darren Sharper faints. Obviously none of us know the truth at this point, but just because Rose is who he is doesn't preclude him from raping anyone.
While this case will be very sad IF its true. But the names involving are just pure comical and ironic. The plaintiff is Jane Doe, and the defendants aren't shabby either : Derrick Rose, Randall Hampton, Ryan Allen.
umm, I actually just find out Jane Doe is a legal term : an anonymous female party, typically the plaintiff, in a legal action.. So maybe this will be a real story.
You really thought her name was Jane Doe? Yes, Jane Doe, to protect the identity of the [alleged] victim. And yes, those are Derrick's real friends too!

I actually agree. I am beginning to wonder what exactly does 'DATING' mean. If ole boy was asking you all that .. . you might just have been a ***** buddy Friend with benefits , etc (So many different levels of this DATING thing these days ) Rocket River
I'm not saying Rose is guilty (in fact, I highly doubt the story is true)...but to say that rich athletes don't rape women is ludicrous. If anything, I think it's more likely because they have a sense of entitlement and don't handle rejection well.
Yeah but the difference here is the woman is looking for "unspecified damages", not you know filing a criminal offense and wants him to go to jail which is what you'd normally want if you got gang raped. Not only that the story makes no sense, if she was drugged how'd she escape? And Drose and co. were so hot and bothered they had to go to the trouble of tracking her to the house, breaking into her house instead of calling hookers or strippers? And then while she was drugged she was able to get away but the moment she arrived in her house she fainted and couldnt remember anything except flashes of Rose and friends raping her? I understand athletes can definitely rape women, but usually they do it in a specific circumstance, like for example with Kobe he was alone with the girl in a bathroom when he allegedly raped her. In this case if the girl got drugged and raped in DRose's house or whatever it might be believable, but then he and his friends went through all the effort of chasing her down to her house and even breaking in just to have sex? Like its actually that easy to break into people's homes and rape the people inside without anybody else knowing. And then the friend that helped her out of getting raped just left her to pass out alone in her house instead of going to the cops or the hospital. Yeah, sorry I'd be really surprised if this is true.
There are legit cases. But this one doesn't sound like one. At least from how TMZ reported it, it doesn't sound legit.
Rape is generally about more than sex. Most rapists, don't need to rape someone to have sex, but they want to feel powerful. They fantasize about rape (not an unusual fantasy from either end, most just don't go through the extreme of actual rape). Perhaps he fantasized about gang rape, and went through with it. We don't know. I tend to think this case is a pure money grab, but I wouldn't say that it isn't possibly true.
49. After cleaning herself up, Jane arrived late to work. Her coworker, E., commented that she looked awful and that Jane should not have even come to work that day. In respoanse, Jane told E. what happened to her and E. responded in shock and horror. E. advised Jane to get legal representation and call the police, while citing another case of rape with another NBA player and a young woman she knew. 50. Against her co-worker's advise however, Jane ended up staying at work but could not get much work done. She also refused to get legal representation or call the police because she was ashamed and embarrassed by what had happened to her. She was concerned her conservative family would find out. She felt lost, scared and did not know who to turn to. Most of all, she was terrified that the men who raped her will come back to her place and rape her again, or hurt her in other ways. 54. ... Victims are occasionally ridiculed and sometimes even worse. They are often discouraged from cooperating with law enforcement authorities because of the attacker's perceived status in the community. Jane feared such retaliation and was reluctant to report the rape because of her relationship with Rose. She also, perhaps innocently, felt that he was guided by his desire to impress his friends and did not wish jail time for him. ... Remedies sought: monetary
