I don't know why people are caring about TMAC scoring so much. The Rockets are 11-5, people need to wake up, this is the best rockets start since 1997. The Rockets finally have a well rounded team with defense, team speed, and enough scoring to beat their opponents. As long as TMAC is distributing the ball and playing good defense, we will be fine. Basketball is a team sport. Rockets will win 57 games this season!!!!

He has not been playing like magic for any stretch of games this year. Maybe for 1 game when he went double digits into assists, but other than that, he's been taking tons of shots and missing them. I don't judge by just one game...I judge by how he's been playing the entire season.

Now I agree with you that we should give him time to find his shots. I still think he'll be fine, but to say that he's been "playing like Magic Johnson" is ridiculous. The Season's long he'll be alright.

I read all you guys complain when us lowly "rookies" start threads, how come nobody says anything when a highly esteemed "contributing member" posts something like this. I think my IQ dropped just reading this crap.

    T-Mac > you!

Even if he doesnt go for 20+ a game...He needs to at least prove he can still do what he did back in 04-05.Because when we go deep we just cant rely on Yao everygame to be our top scorer.Bring back 04-05 Mcgrady Dammit!

Totally agree. You guys should not expect old T-mac. You will be dispointed because that one is gone. He has to adjust to become T-Magic. He has the capability to become T-Magic and make the team better.

For this team to be a serious Championship contender, Yao needs the help form TMAC. Can people stop making this kind of Threads ? Let's cheer for TMAC, YAO, and the whole team. The season is long, everyone will have ups and downs. There are always fewer people who can really root for our guys all the time without any hesitation and doubts.

I think he'll get back to form - what raises my eyebrows is that i haven't seen him dunk the ball once yet....

My guess is T-mac want to not go all-out every night and save his body for the upcoming long season. He has Yao pwning night in and out, so he can take a step back and play it safe. Mark my words, he will BLOW UP in the playoffs like you've never seen before, even better than the Orlando-Mac.

Hopefully that is what he thinks...

I just want Tracy to attack the rim every now and then. Is that too much to ask?

Sorry but how in the world does a guy who is 27, i repeat 27, lose his 'explosiveness'? that is dumb as hell to say. if he has, then that is sad, he is 27 and acts like he is 40.

why are you all so sure that he'll never be the same mac who can score? he's always been a scoring perimeter player, and after missing a year of basketball, and one month of basically rust, you're all giving up on him? he'll still defer to yao, but when he gets his shot back, you better believe he's going to be averaging 24 up. a guy like mcgrady, even if its true that he has lost some of his explosiveness, will find other ways to score. if teams can just relax and stop overplaying him, his playmaking abilities will diminish. which is why i believe he's going to have to be agressive and score more than he's scoring now. 19ppg? please, we'll be a courtesy playoff team with tmac averaging those numbers. yao is important to this team, but tmac is just as important. this team will win nothing without a scoring mcgrady. im not saying he has to overshadow yao, (YOFs dont gang up on me), he has to take the spotlight with him.

I like T-MAc the only problem I have with him is that he is playing with less athletic capabilities than he gives himself a credit for. He continues delay the game attempting to pump fake all his shots when no one is taking his shots seriously anymore, he has to accept himself as a multidimensional player not a shooter. He can assist, attach, rebound, and defend.

I seriously think he is lifting too much weight for what his legs can hold. Having too much muscles can make his body too stiff and not elastic enough to jump high and attack the rim.

    Hayes for rebounds
Battier for defense and dirty work
    Alston for assists (he's a pass-first PG)
    Head for 3's

...after acquiring all these specialists in different catagories, we just need tmac to do one thing - to attack the rim, draw fouls, and score. Now he is sitting back trying to make these guys scorers? Does't make sense to me.
