I think its rigged too...THEY all heard McGrady did not want to play and rest so the only way to do that would be to have him not start so they could have another person voted on...or else he would have to start...Kenny smith said it perfect that the GAME IS ABOUT THE fans and WHO THEY WANT to see, not WHO IS HAVING THE BEST YEAR so McGrady should be starting....its all rigged BOOOOOOOO!!!!
It's better he doesn't play. He didn't want to anyway. Get a good week's rest. No need to do any unnecessary running on the knee.
As a Rocket's fan, I hope he's an all-star. But I am afraid if he's not voted in, he's probably not even in the all-star game for the first time.
I think is fair, this is not the best year of Tmac, and the rest will help to get him healthy for the playoffs. And I think Nash or Chris Paul should start above AI and Tmac And Im a die-hard rockets fan, but Im fair. I dont like Carmelo Anthony being as starter.
If the Rockets rest McGrady after the the Portland game on the 11th, he can get a full week off, before playing Cleveland. He would miss the Sacramento game, however.
so far as I know, many of YOF in China did not vote for him, and a lot of AI fans in China saw the gap between AI and TMac started motivating other people to vote for him, I think that's helped a lot, and also some of the TMac "fans" heared what TMac said that he did not want to go, so they stopped voting. I'm disappointed, you will see the resume of TMac like this in the next few years: X time all star: 2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,......2009,2010
It is a good news. I wish the coaches would not vote him in either. So, he has more time to rest and recover
You obviously have not been on this forum for too long. I like your signature ...its as if you take offense to me calling out all the YOF's (I wonder why)
I would rather have him sit and rest during AS weekend. Blessing in disguise. We need the 2004 Tmac to show up for the rest of the season.
If he was to not play in this year's all star game, how would you feel sure he'll play in at least the next couple of all star games? There is that distinct possibility that he may be getting down toward the end of his NBA playing career right now.
