Which means the number of games we see them all play in together is likely somewhere between 36 and 60 games (this does not take into account the year Ron was suspended.) depending on when their missed games happen during the season.
I wonder how long it was gonna take for a bash artest thread to pop up. damn it. . this also proves tracy is not as weak as some would have us to believe. the guy plays through injuries.
What exactly were you trying to accomplish by that?. show us that ron misses alot of games to injury?.
along with Yao and TMAC, yes. thats hwy they are all up there. To bad you can only see Ron being up there. Perhaps some glasses would help?
Fair enough. looking at those stats whats a worrying trend is how many games yao has missed over the last three years. you cant fracture or the break the same leg for three years straight and call it coincidence. there is a worrying trend here. over working and not enough offseason rest is a huge contributing factor. also being 7'6 and well over 300 pounds is also bound to put more stress on the leg. i'm hoping for the best with yao, but the realistic side of me is saying he's bound to miss alot more games yet again.
You didn't take into account that Tmac generally is only really healthy a few weeks out of the year. The rest of the year he always limps around with somewhat of a built in excuse. And, when playing, Artest is so much tougher than the other two that he should automatically get the ironman label, if it has to go to those three. Of course, the ironman award shouldn't go to either of them.
Let's hope that being part of a Big 3 helps each player be more durable over the season than before. Kind of like the effect that happened with the Celtics last season: Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were both showing signs of age in the 2006-07 season and dropped their games played totals to 55 and 47 games respectively. In 2007-08, as members of the Celtics' Big 3 along with Kevin Garnett (who truly has been an iron man over his career), the scoring pressure on each was less, their minutes dropped, and Allen and Pierce played 73 and 80 games, respectively.
the only thing that matters is that all of our players are healthy in the playoffs. it doesn't matter if t-mac, artest or yao will miss their usual share of games in the regular season because we're talented enough to play well through even major injuries. and at the end it really doesn't matter that much whether we'll be the 8th or 1st seed in the playoffs. if your goal is winning a championship you've got to beat the best teams either way.
