Tmac and Yao were way better than Howard and Harden.

It was a fluke. Clippers lost that series, Rockets didn't win it.

Neither did Harden and Howard. Haven't won anything of importance.

It is not just missing the playoffs, missing the playoffs when the Grizzlies are having an abysmal 2-8 record in their last 10.

    That is gruesome

    you win the consolation prize.

Being slightly better does not accomplish anything.

Wow we made one round further than the 2009 Rox who took the later champions Lakers to 7 games.

I really thought that 2009 team was better.

    Yao >>> Howard

He always destroyed him one on one, was a better shooter, better fundamentals

    T-mac = Harden

Similar players, T-mac was more athletic, Harden more crafty

All 4 healthy it's Yao and McGrady taking injuries into account Harden and Howard

it's true look it up, tmac only played 20 playoff games with the rockets.

i understand that he has very loyal fans who make up scenarios to cover up his failures.

    but it's the truth.

I'm not the biggest McHale fan...but I wasn't comparing him to JVG or Adelman. I think for his Rocket tenure...he did a more than decent job. I just expected more from the team.

JBB is TERRRRIBLE. Giving the time he had with this team, it has been horrible.

dude if harden only played 20 playoff games and never got out of the first round, he would be roasted like a chicken on a rotisserie.

stop romanticizing failures, the 90s weren't that long ago. we had hall of famers who won championships

tmac was a failure. i don't care what sentimental value people have for him or if he saved your dog.

    it's about the bottom line.

Is this what being a Rocket fan is?

Arguing over hugely flawed rosters and hating our own players?

Can we mix the heart & ethic of those Yao-Tmac role players with the talent & expectations of the Harden-Howard role players?

Because Boozer and Okur outplayed future HOF players TMac and Yao - repeatedly. At Toyota Center.

And then they followed this up by....doing it again the next year, only taking 6 games to do it this time.

But you know, at least that team had HEART...to lose in the first round to a team that you have HCA over.
