well, me and my fantasy team just hope he gets over himself long enough to play this season out 100%. and of course that has already not happened, so... now I just want to ignore it, but can't until he's off my team. When is the trade deadline again? I should unload his half-arse.
Not sure if its a fit, given the QB play, but i like the risk...if moss doesn't quit plays and tries to block, he'll be a good pick up...
Please explain. There is very little risk for the titans here and vastly improves our passing game, especially with Britt out for a few weeks.
I don't think many people will say he is not a hall of famer. At least I hope not. But as far as the giving up thing he did say "he plays when he wants to play". So he sort of dug his reputation into a hole by making that statement.
I think Moss is hurt more by his reputation of being a jerk than being a quitter. Oh no, he walked off the field with 13 seconds to go and they weren't on offense? Oh no, he stopped running on a route when he knocked the opposing DB down? Oh no, he didn't want to play for one of the worst teams in the league in Oakland? Can't say those bother me much.
I'm a Titans fan, and I'm not sure why you're so unhappy about this? It's a rental...it would be one thing if we were going out and getting him for 3-5 years and some big contract, but we're not. We're getting Randy Moss with out having to give up....anything. Seeing as we'll be with out Kenny for a good while, this was necessary. I'm not a huge fan of Randy Moss either, but look at our receiving core with out him/kenny. Gage (was a healthy scratch last week, so more than likely he'd get more playing time when returning, Nate, D-Williams, Hawk. That's not going to get it done down the stretch when you face the Texans twice, and the Colts twice. Yes, the Texans don't have a good pass defense, but we'd have to shoot it out with them, and those receivers aren't going to get it done. I love the move...if it doesn't work out and he causes a problem, then just get rid of 'em. It's not like we gave up a 3rd round draft pick for 'em...
Vastly helps the passing game like he did in Minnesota? Sorry, but I don't want a crying, self-centered punk who takes plays off and quits on his teammates.
If I was a Titan fan, i would be more concerned about locker room cancer Randy that on-field goofiness Randy. Now since I am a Texan fan, i am about 50/50 on this. I mean it is Randy "Long Ball/Jump Ball TD catching" Moss. But if he can become a cancer and disrupt the Titans, then life is good.
