I have been a Rockets fan since the early 90's and I've been trolling this board for 5 years without registering. I have registered now to express my displeasure with this team. I am considering extending my post season support for the classy Thunder organization into next season. Here are my reasons. This is the worst management we have had for a long time. 1. The organization is being run like a factory with no emotion or concept of family 2. The firing of Rick Adelman made no sense whatsoever 3. The hiring of Mchale despite his poor record and in spite of better available coaches 4.The treatment of loyal players when they have set backs (Kyle, Brooks etc) Lowballing players who work their butts off only to over pay gimic players like Lin. Why not pay Lee, Hayes etc... 5. Treatment of good players (Kevin Martin)...frankly if he was a closer he won't be making 12 million. Fact his he is a top 10 SG when not injured. The Fans 1. Some of the fans on this site are unbelievable. The things I read about certain players is just downright disgusting. I know there are many good fans but some of Rox fans don't deserve super star players. From the booing of Tmac to the treatment of Lowry & Martin it's obvious these fans don't deserve the players. The City 1 Frankly speaking Houston sucks as a city. I've lived all over the USA and spent a fair amount of time in western europe. Houston was the most racist city I ever lived in. You go to most of the clubs and it's either predominately black, white, hispanic or asian. This could have changed since I moved 4 years ago but I seriously doubt it. If I were a black athlete why would I want to come to a city where if the bouncer or bartender don't recognize me I would get substandard service Either way the people, management and fans of Oklahoma are better than the rockets...Go OKC!!! Not sure where you have lived, but calling Houston racist is laughable. The city consistently ranks in the top 5 best places to live for African Americans. Many have homes here and enjoy living here. They just don't want to play for the Rockets because we haven't been relevant in 15 years. That has nothing to do with the city being racist though.
It doesn't sound like you've been to Oklahoma not exactly the melting pot like Houston is. Anyways bad first post and hopefully that will be your last....
