We're at the point where if we can't get a good defensive-minded asst. coach, we consider firing D'Antoni to open up a head coaching spot for them.
Too late, this team's defense is a dumpster fire, no respectable coach will ruin their name attaching it to this team's defense now.
I'm down. I don't get the point of Dantoni anyways? Any shmuck can run this offense. It's a very simple scheme that doesn't require much coaching. So why not just get a head coach that instills discipline?

JVG’s offense was terrible. We need a balanced head coach. I’d like to see Kelvin Sampson get a shot. He’s paid his dues and I think the players would respect him.
What exactly is our offense where JVG can't run it? Is it difficult to coach a scheme of jacking up as many threes as humanly possible with hardly any off ball movement?

We need Dave Joerger. Not for just defense but to have someone with the ability to create some cohesion. He’s a brilliant coach who won’t be a FA for long.
I think even if the Rockets were able to get another superstar via trade giving up Capela, etc...their defense still stinks. They are better off finding a defensive coach and fire the current one. Heck, if they go on a 4-5 game losing streak, they likely will fire MDA.
