Love's is surprisingly big as the 17th largest private company in the US with $20B in revenue and 25,000 employees, bigger that some of the more recognizable companies like Staples, Wawa, SC Johnson, Amway, and Perdue. Rokit is pretty sketchy though. I wish the Rockets would get a sponsor that's more local. The non-local company probably pays more though. It's unreported how much Rokit payed for the jersey patch. For reference, wish.com pays $13M/year for the Lakers, and Rakuten pays $20M a year for GSW.
We should make a list of local companies we would PREFER to sponsor Rockets. See mine below: St. Arnold's Karbach Buffalo Bayou Brewing Shipley's Donuts Texas Children's Hospital MD Anderson Idera, Inc. Susman Godfrey NASA (jk)
Does the Pelicans' "Smoothie King" who bought the arena naming rights actually belong to a royal family? Does he even have a CROWN?!?
Couple replacement partners who would be great.. 8th wonder/ st Arnold’s brewery NASA Sysco Phillips 66 center point
I thought this was like a necro thread from when they got the sponsorship. This is old news if you ever went to their website when they first sponsored rockets it wasn't even a legit website.
Waste Management is waiting to sponsor miniature garbage cans for Astros fans to bang at games this season.
No one bats an eye about our owner's family alleged mob connections, but I do agree - the ethics behind sponsors should be evaluated in the NBA
Karbach is owned by AB InBev. St. Arnold's is still pure. We're not even close to the fattest city in the country anymore, so I'm down with Shipley and St. Arnold's repping us. Honestly, multinational or not, there are thousands of proper Houston-centric companies that could sponsor the team. Just go through the list of owners of all those empty lower bowl seats to start with.
