My sister and her husband had a baby girl named Lucy the other day and they just discovered that she has a birth defect. Her esophagus is not connected to her stomach and she is undergoing surgery tomorrow to make the connection. Has anybody here experienced anything like this? I am worried about her.
What are their names? Code names are fine if you don't wanna give out their real ones. I just find it difficult to pray honestly when I don't have a name to associate my prayers to. It's weird to pray for "Bmoney's sister and brother-in-law". Best wishes to your family and little Lucy.
My post wasn't really meant to be funny, but whatever. Just finished praying for Lucy, the doctors, and the whole family. Keep us updated. I have a 8 month old niece, so I can't imagine the stress your family is going through right now. Best of luck and God bless...
Thanks Liljo and everyone. My sister is named Cheramie and her husband is Jake. They are wonderful people and I wish them and their children all the best.
I will pray for her, hope it would be ok and she is healthy and all. I'm kinda going through a difficult time too. my dad's hip mri showed something abnormal. I'm praying it's nothing sinister.
My niece actually had a condition like this when she was born called pyloric stenosis. The openings from her esophagus to stomach and stomach to intestines were nearly closed. During her first few weeks here, she would projectile vomit and was actually losing weight instead of gaining before doctors finally made their diagnosis. She had surgery at the children's hospital down in Little Rock and everything went fine and now she is a healthy 12 year old. I think your situation will be similar and everything will be fine. Good luck.
